Hey Bailey, nice job! Especially the command "Splash!" :)

Didn't know VA can be used to control cockpit instrument and query for airport details. That's certainly very helpful.

I like to add some personal touches in my personal profiles. It is one of the things that make them fun!

Not to oversell, but VA can do almost anything that you want it to do. Limited only by the software that you are doing it in (this case, DCS) and your imagination!

Hey, thanks for these great files,

I'm attempting to use the VoiceAttack file for the Huey radio tuning and can't seem to get the hang of it.

I can get the radios to tune to the airfields OK. When I try to tune the VHF, UHF or FM radios it doesn't work. I reset Huey frequencies just fine.

Whenever I say for example "VHF radio tune to... or tune VHF radio to ..... or tune VHF radio frequency my VoiceAttack just gives "unrecognized" response. this is for UHF, FM as well.

Could you type out a few different command lines so I know that I'm giving the right commands.

The script is great for other commands as well use it a lot.

Thanks

Sounds like something is going on here. I’ll take a look when I can. What command are you using for the radios? Check out the readme because it’s a very specific command.

I have downloaded a fresh Huey VA and used fresh keybinds and it it working for me using the command "Copilot frequency two five three point nine five", for example. UHF works. VHF works. NAV/VOR works. ADF is not implemented in my profile because as far as I know, there is no way to read the position of the dial from DCS. Give it another shot like I did above. If that does not work, let me know all the info you can so we can get this solved!

A-10C Radio Freq Settings in VA

Hi! Bailey - I'm the guy who posted to you on YouTube about the A-10C profile. Checked in on Discord but you weren't on. Here's the setup:

Read the instructions, did the key bindings for the radios (didn't think the non-radio bindings were pertinent - was I wrong?), and launched VA and DCS. I started up the HOTAS tutorial so I'd be flying and on A/P, with radios already on. Went to each radio and made sure the freqs were 251.000, 124.000 and 30.00, as noted in your doc. Did the A 10 radio reset call, and got the chirp, so I figured the call took.

I then said set frequency 25500. The command seemed to work, and I watched VA show me the command HundUp four times, assuming that it moved the hundreds wheel from 1 to 5. The dial on the radio never moved. I then said, set frequency 12800. The command seemed to word, I saw VA show the "HundUp" command 4 more times (from 124.000 to 128.000). The radio dial did not change the freq.

So next I actually keyed in the key binding for each dial on each radio, like LCtrl-RAlt-I, and watched the radio dials actually move with each press. So I know the bindings are good - I can manually enter each one and watch the radio dials move.

So why would the commands seem to work, knowing the bindings are correct, and VA shows them working, but the dials don't move? Is there a binding somewhere besides the selector dial bindings?

That's where I am right now. I'm going back and trying again to see if maybe I was just having a bad night! I will await your response.

Contacted ya on Discord. T'was busy today (as most days, you know how it can be). I am wondering if the target for Voice Attack is set incorrectly. I suggesting updating to the newest version of VA (targeting changed) and making sure that the commands are going to the correct place.

Solution: I have been running VA for awhile, and had updated it recently. Previously, it had been working fine, but now it didn't seem to respond to Bailey's radio commands. After consulting with Bailey, I looked into the Profile Options screen, where I found that my "Send commands to this target" choice had defaulted to "Active Window." Why it had worked previously I can't say, but I switched it to focus on the DCS screen only, and now everything is working fine. I would recommend that this choice always be set to focus on the DCS screen.

Click on the Edit Profile box. Then click on the Options box next to the profile name. Then, under the Profile General tab, go to "Send commands to this target:", and click the radio button next to the pull-down menu, and choose "Digital Combat Simulator". I'd post a screen shot, but have nowhere online to put the file, and this site doesn't allow uploads.

Haha, yes, there is a chance. Chance drastically increases when:

1. RAZBAM finished the harrier

2. The UFC becomes completely bindable

Bindings was one of the big issues for me also when trying to create one for the Harrier.

I reported this in the forum for issues that still have to be adressed one day.

Hope they add the complete bindings 1 day can be pretty useful for operating the UFC.

Radio tuning tacan navigation and more without pressing a single button we can only hope :)
