Surrexen Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 It looks to me like radiator flaps are not working if it is assigned to an axis. They open and close fine if they are assigned buttons though.
westr Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Ok by default one of my TM warthog throttle axis is set to radiator flaps but I could not see any movement, thanks for posting. I shall look into it maybe explain why im finding it’s climb performance particularly poor. RYZEN 7 3700X Running at 4.35 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 32gb DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz Oculus CV1 NvME 970 EVO TM Warthog Stick & Throttle plus 11" extension. VKB T-Rudder MKIV
Surrexen Posted June 7, 2019 Author Posted June 7, 2019 Yeah i'm using a warthog too. Tried rebinding the axis but nothing. Buttons for open and close radiator flaps work fine though.
yngvef Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Can confirm. Also using the Warthog and radiator mapped to axis doesn't work. Buttons do work, though.
ED Team NineLine Posted June 7, 2019 ED Team Posted June 7, 2019 Reported guys, thanks!! Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
LeCuvier Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) Several things wrong here Therre are several things ED should do here: 1. The line in file "Throttle - HOTAS Warthog.lua" under "axisCommands = {": {action = device_commands.Button_15, cockpit_device_id = devices.CONTROL_SYSTEM, name = _('Radiator Flaps'), category = _('Engine Control')}, has the wrong button No. It should be "Button_13". Users can easily fix that. 2. Without axis tune setting, this axis rotates at supersonic speed so it's impossible to turn the crank in a controlled manner. I had to reduce "Saturation Y" to 5, with Invert checked, in order to use the axis, and even then it uses only a fraction of the slider range. 3. That command line needs to be added to "default.lua" so people not owning the TM WH throttle can use it. PS: This set of problems is obviously "inherited" from the Dora which has exactly the same .lua code. I suspect it was never reported for the Dora though as people tend to use button controls for this function.
