DCS World VR Force IPD setting ...I'm running 75 but most that I talk to seem to be lower.

I'm wondering if I'm making things to small ... When I sitting in the pit it seems close to where I think I would be but maybe the pit should be larger ?

My own DCS ipd closely matches my Oculus-reported ipd , and the pilot-body/cockpit looks about right .

Do you not know your real ipd? I called my eye doctors office and they gave me the measurements. Oddly enough, they were hesitant to provide it to me over the phone, but I explained the reason I wanted it and they gave it to me. I used to play with a 55 setting, but now I use my real 67.5 setting. Objects seem much better proportioned now.

For most planes I used to have set IPD to 48, except for the F5 Tiger and the KA50 is set to 62 to look ´real´in dimensions.

I'm about average IPD like 64 but pits seem a little large to me at that setting ...I'll mess around with it some more .......

The in game Force IPD changes world scale and isn't the same as the distance between your pupils. If you change the settings, you'll see, "feel," the cockpit become larger/smaller.

Yea I'm aware of that ....I was just wondering what the average Force IPD setting was.

I keep mine about the same, but I'm going to play with it with Reverb.

FWIW, when I had the Reverb, I had to set a very different value than my Vive Pro. Cockpit was a lot smaller in the Reverb by default.

I force mine in DCS to the same as I have it set in WMR, not sure if it makes a difference, I havn't seen any negative results doing so.

There won't be any negative results, but if you are happy with the same setting in DCS as your physical IPD, then it's just a coincidence. The 2 things are not connected.

As I have said before, I really don't understand why ED continue to call this 'IPD' in-game, rather than World Scaling (or something similar) in most other games.

It just leads to confusion.

Yeah, confusing it is... guess the function was meant to be kind of ingame IPD setting, but turned out, that it is a world scaling factor and never was corrected in its designated description.

I´m always orientating on the dimension of the stick. If it looks too small, like a toy, I go down with the IPD value, if it looks unrealistically big, I go up with the value until it fits.

I used a ruler to measure in game scale. Forcing the IPD to my actual IPD of 71 made the scale correct. I’ve only done this for the A-10c but the scale looks dead on for the Huey as well.

I have an IPD of 64, but with that value the cockpit is so small. I set the IPD to 50 in DCS - this way it seems normal. Nice benefit: I can read the instruments better. ^^

I feel like when i go that low the pit is just to big like an old chevy :)

If you look in this pic his arms are very close to the sides of the pit like the pit is wrapped around him tight...thats how it feels at 75... for me anyway.
