eaglecash867 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 LOL! I like the "2800X1700 combined resolution" part. In other words, 1440X1700 per eye. In the words of Chris Farley, "Whoopdee friggin' do!!" EVGA Z690 Classified, Intel i9 12900KS Alder Lake processor, MSI MAG Core Liquid 360R V2 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6400 memory, EVGA RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra 24GB video card, Samsung 980PRO 1TB M2.2280 SSD for Windows 10 64-bit OS, Samsung 980PRO 2TB M2.2280 SSD for program files, LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray burner. Willie Nelson Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I have heard that this HMD would also be able to connect directly to a mobile phone, doesn’t that make it a different product altogether to what is needed for DCS. I’ve been keen to see where their resolution would land and the FOV also but I’m not sure if this is marketed at DCS style gaming, thoughts? i7700k OC to 4.8GHz with Noctua NH-U14S (fan) with AORUS RTX2080ti 11GB Waterforce. 32GDDR, Warthog HOTAS and Saitek rudders. HP Reverb.
Supmua Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Don't forget Acer Ojo ;) Don't forget Samsung. If there's anyone who could make the best WMR headset it would be them. memoric Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 very dissapointing... I hoped it would match the reverbs resolution :(.
USA_Recon Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Don't forget Samsung. If there's anyone who could make the best WMR headset it would be them. They need to seriously redo the comfort level on the Samsung, it's a disaster.
rrohde Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Don't forget Samsung. If there's anyone who could make the best WMR headset it would be them. My thoughts as well. I am super happy with my O+ right now (w/ aftermarket head-strap and face cushion), and I certainly hope that there will be an updated Odyssey down the line that retains the amazing AMOLED displays - just some higher resolution and improved FOV. PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com
Callsign.Vega Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Ya quite disappointing. I seriously thought it was going to have the 2160x2160 panels. Look's like Reverb will be "the" VR headset for 2019, maybe even 2020 (until Pimax 8K-X). GPU: RTX 4090 - 3,000 MHz core / 12,000 MHz VRAM.
