Hey Guys I'm in the market for my first set of pedals! Iv been flying twist stick since the late 90s... LOL

I'm currently looking real hard at the Thrustmaster TPR and Slaw RX V2

Any advice or other recommendations? THANKS

Been using the Crosswinds since Dec 2015 and they are superb!

Aren't crosswinds setup for WW2 type planes only? (Whole foot on pedal)

I prefer the more modern heel on floor style if I could only choose one.

Also. I prefer all metal construction, so for me it would be the TPR's, or Slaws. Virpil would be a option after some reviews.

If money is no object, you can't go wrong with the Slaws. The smoothness of movement, the sheer heft of the product and the quality of the construction is well worth the wait. It is a professional grade product.

I had the cheaper TM T.flight rudder pedals. They were ok, good choice for a lower price point option. But I recently bought the MFG Crosswinds and they are great. I highly recommend them.

Not really, they do have toe brakes after all.

The material used for the Crosswinds I am very familiar with as I used to be in that industry before retiring, it is some very tough material and trust me it ain't gonna break.

However yes, it is feet on pedals so if that is not good for you, then another option certainly would be better.

The pedal base was designed to have possibility for him to add the heel on floor type pedals, and he has talked about it a few times over the last 3 years or so, but no sign yet of that coming to fruition.

Neither rust or peel paint, I have seen pictures of "all metal" pedals (2 different brands) with some rust.

I am using Slaw V2 pedals. Very pleased with them. I had been using twist stick previously, but so glad I got these now that I am getting into the Tomcat more (and that is something where you need the rudder pedals a lot).

MFG Crosswinds; using them for 1 1/2 years now. Great pedals. Sturdy material. Cool design.

Absolutely pleased with them.

Had contacted Baur shortly before, but he didn‘t do pedals anymore, mostly due to working with Virpil?!

Would recommend Crosswind, if someone is looking for good pedals, with toebrakes.
