MP: don't despawn player-aircraft instantly after a player ejects from his aircraft.

Currently, on multiplayer-servers that "kick" players from an aircraft slot back to spectactors instantly on pilot-ejection, their aircraft instantly vanishes in the air, which is super unrealistic.

 

Please implement a delayed-despawn (so that the empty aircraft first crashes into the ground, or if in stable flight vanishes after 60 seconds for example)

Nope, but more realistic ejection scenes (video recording); more realistic PvP combat.

Could you not just stop kicking them to spectator and just let them drift down ??

isn't this a server option? server admins are the ones implementing it.

Not really an option. AFAIK it depends on the slot. Some servers (e.g. Blue Flag) push you out of your aircraft slot and back to spectators upon ejection which causes the aircraft to despawn as well. If the server doesn't push you out of your slot, the aircraft does not despawn IIRC.

Thats all on how the servers are using the API. DCS by itself never kicks players to spectator.

there is no problem. when you are kicked to spectator no mp server wants you in the game to see what is going on.

 

 

 

BF uses this to stop ghosting. You also asked three different times on the BF discord and you got an answer three times.

 

 

It's not a bug nor something to change

"ghosting" ? It's super realistic that the pilot can see what's going on from his parachute (after ejecting). Not a bug, THUS I posted it in Wishlist.....

This request (as mentioned by grimes) is more of a server admin request. ED are unlikely to consider any changes to their system based on this.
