Hi,

Windows snipping tool seems not to work for me.

So I searched for a way to do it in DCS and I found this under GENERAL category : SysRQ

Don`t know what this means. Anybody any help ?

What goes up, must come down !

Screen shot function in dcs is bound to your SysRQ key in dcs control section.

Keyboard layout are different so it could be another button on your keyboard.

My is being bound to "prtscr" on my keyboard.

Also, you can create an autoexec.cfg text file at /saved games/dcs/config

Inside put this sentence so that the screenshot is on jpg format rather than png:

options.graphics.ScreenshotExt = "jpg"

sorry, but I just don`t get it.

What does SysRQ mean and prtscr is a button ? Which one is it on your keyboard ?

A simple textfile or must it be a special app I create this file with ?

And how do I get this exe to work? I`m really not a expert.

Sorry for a lot of questions.

I assume you're using a German keyboard. Just press the "Druck" key. The screenshot will be saved in your "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\ScreenShots" folder.

A simple text file, but windows' Notepad is a really lousy text editor as it sometimes insert non-standard characters at the end of each line ... I use free Notepad++ ... you can get it here:

oops, I guess times have changed, at least for the reason why you should never ever edit linux files with notepad, ala EOL,CR and LF commands.

Will give this a shot.
