Ok, I think first of all I have to contact the ground crew and ask for the GND PWR connection on. After that I guess I need to turn on the radio and contact the control tower for the startup. My question is: what are the switches I must use for that operation? NATOP manual does not explain really well how to.... or maybe I am not able to understand it. :helpsmilie:

in this order:

After asked ground crew to turn on electrical power:

1. Reset External Power for 4 secs.

2. switch 1 GND PWR 1 on for 4 secs.

3. switch 2 GND PWR 2 on for 4 secs.

4. switch 4 GND PWR 4 on for 4 secs.

Now your radios must be on and you can ask ATC for start up authorization.

Thanks dude, Last question: switches #1, 2 and 4 are going to be moved on position A or B?

i set them to pos B but im thinking A would work just as good if you just want the radios. Dont quote me on that i dont have the placard in front of me atm.

Nobody likes me because I'm unsafe.

Actually you need to enable switch 3 as well.

Don't want to be a smartass here but:

According to NATOPS it's only bus 1,2 and 4.

NATOPS III/7-14

"With external electrical power -

1. EXT PWR switch - RESET

2. GND PWR switches 1, 2, and 4 - B ON (hold for 3 seconds)"

Brrrrrrrrrrrt

I'd rather call in a Strike Eagle...

Out of interest, when would you use this? In DCS I mean, I havnt considered them in my simpit.

I use it to be able to use the radios before starting the engine, it has the added benefit of being able to start ins alignment a bit sooner.
