Coincidence that the last pic of the Mirage has the danish flag painted on the tail?

Or does it have a meaning? :)

Yeah, an A-10 will not be flying after such catastrophic damage me thinks. A Toad however is another story altogether :D

You're very wrong my friend....sometimes you have to accept other aircraft are better or just as good as your beloved Toad ;)

I don't know about this aircraft, but I don't think its a coincidence - as you can see it has like a strip of film painted along the fuselage with the text "100 ans"(100 years) in front.

The RDAF is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year(1912-2012) with an airshow at the Aalborg AFB on June 10......today in fact, so I guess it could have something to do with that :) .

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Go back and read what viper said, I never said the 25 couldn't take damage.

Yes, A-10 is also well thought out in terms of protection, and the engines are spaced at a distance from each other, the SU-25 engines are so close the explosion did not damage both are protected by the armor barrier.

I like and A-10 and SU-25.

Re post above

Hi, the Mirage is wearing colors of SAL 6 Mouette (Seagull) and the white cross is the Savoie emblem (a region between France and Italy)

It celebrates the 100 years of the squadron. http://www.escadrilles.org/armee-de-l-air/sal-6/

and this is the last squadron flying Mirage F1C.

Thanks for the clarification gabuzomeu - so the similarity to the danish flag/RDAF anniversary was a coincidence after all :D .

Wow I served with Rich Chenault very early in his career (20 years ago he started flying Apaches)...hard to believe he's still at it.

Careful, your aging yourself :D
