Snoopy Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Yeah, an A-10 will not be flying after such catastrophic damage me thinks. A Toad however is another story altogether :D Herewith link to original A-10 story: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Stories1/001-100/0016_A-10-battle-damage/story0016.htm You're very wrong my friend....sometimes you have to accept other aircraft are better or just as good as your beloved Toad ;) http://www.thewarthogpen.com/81-0987.html v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website

Alfa Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Coincidence that the last pic of the Mirage has the danish flag painted on the tail? Or does it have a meaning? :) I don't know about this aircraft, but I don't think its a coincidence - as you can see it has like a strip of film painted along the fuselage with the text "100 ans"(100 years) in front. The RDAF is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year(1912-2012) with an airshow at the Aalborg AFB on June 10......today in fact, so I guess it could have something to do with that :) . AlexHunter Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Go back and read what viper said, I never said the 25 couldn't take damage. Yes, A-10 is also well thought out in terms of protection, and the engines are spaced at a distance from each other, the SU-25 engines are so close the explosion did not damage both are protected by the armor barrier. I like and A-10 and SU-25. Edited June 12, 2012 by AlexHunter Открылась бездна звезд полна; Звездам числа нет, бездне дна. (М. В. Ломоносов)
