F16 Crash Oshkosh EAA AirVenture 2011 HD(1080p)

2nd f16 pilot over shots the runway, damages the f16 nose and front gears, imo pilot error to blame here.

Old news, the report was posted here before

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Haven't seen that before. Holy crap that was tense but the pilot is so calm, amazing.

Look for General David Goldfein in google

F-16 vs. MiG-29 fighter jet dogfight demo airshow.

looks like the f16 is happily staying inside the mig29 in turns

straightline and climb i think the f16 would have a difficult time though.

another vid

Yes, you can see the F-16 pilot is using out of plane maneuvers such as hi and lo Yo-Yo to do so. However all these are Mil throttle setting maneuvers, I wonder what would it look like in 6G AB combat...

With AB the mig burns fuel 3.5 times as fast, it would have to kill the falcon the first time around before returning to base. I have a report about Mig VS falcon encounters, the Mig always has to abandon the fight first if BFM doesn result in a kill quickly.

Does anyone recall a fatal crash of a Hawk at an air show pushed to the ground by a wind gust?

Cannot find specifics, although did not look very hard. Here's a list of the documented incidents involving Hawks from 1980 to date (143). Should be in there somewhere:

Can't find it in Red Arrows + 1 fatality. Could be that it was not a RA Hawk. Thanks for reminding me about the resource though!

$5b.. Is that $5B worth of uniforms being made? if so, they could get some of it back by selling it off to surplus stores.

Yeah, I think next time they should keep politics out of the loop and resurrect the Comanche from was saved.

But seriously, that number does indeed sound rather... extreme.

I won't say the number is wrong and I certainly won't say that a large amount of money wasn't wasted but the press has a way of a) getting the facts wrong and b) embellishing the truth, so $5B might not be 100% correct.

$5bn? for a ******* uniform ????

**** me, that is criminal to say the least.
