kam Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) Grounded HMS Astute nuclear sub chief loses command The naval chief in charge of a nuclear-powered submarine which ran aground off the Isle of Skye has been relieved of his command. HMS Astute was being put through sea trials when it was marooned last month. Navy officials confirmed that Commander Andy Coles, 47, lost his command of the submarine on Friday. He is to remain with the Royal Navy and is to be given another post. A final decision has still to be made about whether he will face a court martial. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-11853493 Edited November 27, 2010 by kam wrong link Intel 5820k | Asus X-99A | Crucial 16GB | Powercolor Devil RX580 8GB | Win 10 x64 | Oculus Rift | https://gallery.ksotov.co.uk Patiently waiting for: DCS: Panavia Tornado, DCS: SA-2 Guideline, DCS: SA-3 Goa, DCS: S-300 Grumble

Griffin Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Russia to continue producing Su-25's? http://en.rian.ru/analysis/20101125/161501297.html Personally I think it's a good airframe with ancient systems. Unless they are really in a dire need of new airframes, they should wait and create an avionics upgrade program. Su-25SM is okay but still a bit outdated.
