Hello everyone, I was wondering what people's experience of the random failures was in the Spitfire. It's basically all I fly at the minute and was thinking of turning the setting on, but was worried in case failures happened too often or were gamebreaking or anything.

I haven't tried flying with it on yet, maybe that's what I should do but I'm still a bit of a novice and wouldn't be able to tell between something that's randomly broke or something I've broke

Does anyone fly with them on and do the failures feel fairly balanced?

Thanks!

I have turned them on and never had a failure, at least that I noticed

You should just give them a try and see for yourself :) ... I actually like the challenge of having unforeseen failures and learn the emergency procedures of the aircraft.

I dont fly the Spitfire, but recently the C-101 got its damage model and failures tab implemented, and it's been very interesting the process of learning how to deal with each .. give it a look, even if you dont have that plane:

I fly with them on. I've had random failures happen before, but like once or twice that I've noticed a year.

I just turned them on, then on the first mission my gunsight went off. That's not just once or twice a year I guess :/

I turn only boost regulator fail option, when i get lucky boost regulator will fail in the way that i can over boost a lot, it happen to me in p-51 so i could boost 100" and fly over 400mph level at SL :P

That's quite useful actually :D

Think I'll turn it on when I get on today, doesn't sound like noticeable failures are too common

Thanks everyone!

When your gunsight goes off is there even a way to replace the bulb?
