Kumabit Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Just curious, is there a chance that we can get the JF17 to upgrade to the block3 version?
Terrorban Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Didn’t that version just come out like yesterday or something? If I remember correctly, that version has a lot of changes because it was designed to stand against the current Indian arsenal. That includes ability to combat against the Rafale. If something like that gets added here, we will have the most advanced jet within the world of DCS. Highly unlikely since having just the current version is kicking up a lot of doubts and people are demanding Deka to provide them with official documentation which show its performance. This is obviously not going to happen. Airplanes : A-10C II | AJS-37 | A/V-8B | F-4E | F-14A/B | F/A-18C | FC3 | JF-17 | M2000-C Helicopters : AH-64D | CH-47F | Ka-50 III | Mi-24P | Mi-8MTV2 | SA342 | UH-1H Other Modules : Combined Arms | Persian Gulf | Afghanistan TRAINED - LEARNING - LOW EXPERIENCE - ABANDONED

Unlike the F18 and F16 , you can pull as many G as you want on these jets without any damage to the airframe. This should be the decision of Deka, Deka is now a window to show how advanced the red jets already are.
WinterH Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Isn't that version not even in active service yet? Uhhhh... yeah, right... I somehow don't see it happening, and nor do I want to see it happening. And I say this as someone who likes more red or at least not-so-blue side planes. Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script

Correct, not in service ..Unlike the F18 and F16 , you can pull as many G as you want on these jets without any damage to the airframe. Ah, didn't know that. dorianR666 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Just curious, is there a chance that we can get the JF17 to upgrade to the block3 version? probably not, considering it has a completely different user interface (one large display) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: AMD RX 580
foxwxl Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Block 3 just taken its first flight last week...it may not frozen on its design Deka Ironwork Tester Team
Chiron Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) lets see Block 2 first and think about block 3 and there is question in that if we got block 2 engine will modified ? cuz block 2 can reach 1.6 mach i think and AselPOD EO/IR Targeting System Edited December 23, 2019 by Chiron
AeriaGloria Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 No, block 2 engine exactly the same, both spcified at 1.6 Mach. I believe that’s the design limit of the intake. We won’t get ASELPOD unless something changes and Deka get the needed info. AeriaGloria Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 No, 1.6. It goes above that in game because I guess it’s complicated to get it speed limited in DCS for the right reasons, but the official specs for real life block 1 is Mach 1.6. Even with new engine, would probably need different high Mach optimized intake to break 1.6 Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

AeriaGloria Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 That’s the design limit at low altitude. If you’re low when that’s happening, go higher to reach max Mach Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

foxwxl Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 ok that is weird cuz i barely hit 1.2 mach JF-17 can reach M1.2 even with SD-10 stores. If you want to reach M1.6 try a clean configuration and at high altitude. Deka Ironwork Tester Team
shaHeen-1 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 block III is so new and classified that probably even the PAF doesn't know how it performs yet. We'll see it in DCS in about 20 years lol once block 5 starts rolling out or JF-18. XD
