Is there a way to get more saturated colors in the rift S

Hi guys,

Is there a way to pimp the colors a bit in the Huey in VR. Love my new rift s but everything looks so bland and dull. Only thing I can change is gamma setting but that doesn't change the saturation of the colors off course.

Used the Shader mod in the past but that doesn't work in VR ad far as I know.

Thanks for any hints and tips!

Cheers

Jozeff

Haven’t tried it myself with VR, but in the Nvidia or AMD control panel there’s often a custom colour setting. The only issue I could see with doing it this way is it will affect your monitor too, but the AMD version at least allows me to set a custom colour per game profile.

I haven't found anything for the reverb. I think the reality of it is that RGB LCD's just don't have same color depth as the pentile oleds. So your choice right now is SDE vs Colors.

I'm not sure if there is a technical reason at this point they couldn't make a RGB layout LCD, but if any company on earth can its gonna be samsung.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

RGB OLED displays do exist. PSVR uses one.

Oculus does not show up as a device in the NCP and therefore cannot be adjusted as monitors can but...

The earlier NVidia drivers allowed for color changes/vibrance to be made by using a monitor on the Oculus port for purposes of changing the settings then plugging the Oculus back into it.

Worked very well until Nvidia disallowed this form of tweak by not allowing the port to remember settings but instead made the device responsible for it. So now when you change back to Oculus after the tweak the port no longer carries the settings you just made with the monitor.

No solution found on my side also. Only the DCS gamma settings have impact...

I thought it was possible and that would explain the people playing with a gamma at 1 with their Rift S and me around 1.5, depending the map/time/weather.

I wonder if that's in the registry or a .ini etc in the driver package or something like that???

Hmmm....

Nvidia RTX3080 (HP Reverb), AMD 3800x

Asus Prime X570P, 64GB G-Skill RipJaw 3600

Saitek X-65F and Fanatec Club-Sport Pedals (Using VJoy and Gremlin to remap Throttle and Clutch into a Rudder axis)

It would be nice to have that tweak back again for sure, that's what I told the Nvidia tech on the phone after he explained it.

If it were in the .reg...where would be the big question.

Hello, I will add it in my mod as I did for Il2 BoS. New version to be released this week. Two different values for cockpit and outside will be available.
