Hay Guys,

I was way into my Red Flag Agressor BFM campaign appr. Mission 12, now I found it with 0 mission flown. Some weeks ago same thing happened with Enemy within 3.0 on A-10C. What the heck?

I've had this happen once or twice in the past few years where an update wipes out all my campaign progress. It's pretty crappy.

Yes, sadly that happens with some of the updates. It's very frustrating if you don't have much time to fly and your campaign progress is slow and frankly made me stop playing them for quite a while. If you remember in time you can try to backup your save files and put them back in after the update, I guess.

Get into the habit of backing up your "Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\logbook.lua" from time to time - and definitely do this before updating DCS.

Search for "dcs logbook skip mission" (or something similar) if you don't want to replay the whole campaign.

Hay Guys,

I was way into my Red Flag Agressor BFM campaign appr. Mission 12, now I found it with 0 mission flown. Some weeks ago same thing happened with Enemy within 3.0 on A-10C. What the heck?

Most common reason for this issue:

The directory structure gets changed in a patch for were the campaign files reside or the name of the files themselves are changed, this creates the problem because the logbook.lua records the name and directory of the mission you were up to within the campaign and it can no longer find the missions because of the changes.

To fix it and regain your status as before, you would need to edit the paths and names for the mission within the logbook.lua file to match then new paths and names of missions in the DCS directory structure.

Good point, never thought of that. Thanks for the info.
