Sad to say, I've supported these guys from the beginning. They started out strong with the F-14 release last year, and I thought we were on track to finally brake the Multi-year endless EA cycle. But since then haven't seen them make good on any of the missing features. Let alone, simple things that have been wrong since day 1:

Aim-9 Rails still aren't textured, wrong engine instruments, no OBC, and half a dozen other minor things besides showboat features stated on the store page, and their most recent newsletter. I understand bug fixing takes priority but TBH I've lost confidence in this team. The statements made by them regrading super carrier module compatibility feel like outright falsehoods, and not a single thing listed on their quarterly newsletter has been added to the game, not one thing...

Yeah and sadly those fist things you mentioned are super easy fixes. Heck, if I had the source files I could do those in a week...

If ED is still working on the APIs involved then the Forestal won't be out until after that. That's not HB's fault.

What an amusing combination of ignorance and overconfidence. Why don't you put your 1337 programming skills to good use and make your own F-14.

I get the frustration about long standing issues not being adressed. But things just don't go as planned in an ever developing environment like DCS. Thats the price of progress and throwing shit at HB won't get anything fixed.

I imagine we're going to have to wait until Supercarrier gets released before even seeing the Forrestal. If there's new carrier tech involved, which I have no idea if there is but there's quite a bit of changes going on...wouldn't it have to be implemented into the Forrestal for it to launch Tomcats and Hornets as well?

We'll just have to be patient I have a feeling.

Very true, though that wouldn't have nearly as much to do with the engine instruments, stick position, or even the F-14A for ex.

None of those particularly matter to me as much as the cat not launching or the deck sliding thing. Both of these may well be ED issues and have nothing to do with HB, though the perhaps HB could at least throw us some wheel chalks like ED did with the Hornet in the meantime.

About a month ago, IronMike already said they're waiting for the release of the SC. They're wanting to future-proof the Forrestal. Y'all need to calm down.

Staged approach would have seemed wiser in retrospect. Come out with Forrestal that's analogous to the current Stennis. No deck crews just basic traps and cat launching and current ATC.

Then Saratoga and Ranger analogous to the ED Supercarrier. Then Independence as their ultimate with their own know how and tweaks on top of it (possibly backported to the other 2 or 3 when all is said and done though maybe leave Forrestal as a basic platform).

I'm sorry but where do I state I was a programmer? I did some texture and livery work for various other sims in the past and know what's involved. Fixing textures and correcting geometry has nothing to do with the code or bug fixing. Give me a break...

Yeah that's my thing, surly 2.5.6. issues haven't stood in the way of development for the entire year the jets been out. Yet that's become the latest scapegoat to justify features missing/Developer acknowledged inaccuracies since day 1, glacial pace of updates, and the information blackout we currently have. I got lots of Flack for stating pretty much the same thing on their newsletter thread. In other words I'm not upset these fixes/corrections didn't make it into 2.5.6. I'm upset they didn't make it into ANY of the patches that came before for the last year.

At some point I have to stop giving them the benefit of doubt.
