MPK Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Especially in VR ... Any chance of having a way to disable this?
razo+r Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Turn down the brightness and it should get less noticeable.
Reflected Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 It is very pronunced. If i turn the brightness down enough I can’t see the hud itself. It didn’t use to be like this. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I remember FC3 aircraft used to have the same problem a few years ago. It took quite a while for ED to fix that... Airhunter Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Has to do with the new "lighting" in 2.5.6, namely the way alpha textures are handled.
nachomaga Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Has to do with the new "lighting" in 2.5.6, namely the way alpha textures are handled. I think I notice only after super carrier update. Anyway, not a fan too of the new reflection, and I understand is more realistic. As Reflected said, if you turn down the brightness is hard to see the HUD in some moments, and knob doesnt't have an axis (if I rememeber correctly). Happens the same in the Viggen ages ago. Perhaps a solution is to add new "special setting", like the canopy tint color in the F-16.

Cobra847 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 This is unintentional. It happens because alpha texture sampling has changed substantially. It will be fixed. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
