MBot Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 The option "Restrict Afterburner" does not have a discernible effect on AI afterburner usage.
discwalker Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Restrict afterburner operation is very limited I tested and found imperfect. If I trigger the restriction only take effect after when AI willfully turn off afterburner, not instantly as expected, and not all the cases effective. Takeoff and climb to hold position is exception from restrict afterburner.2,5,5,33552_RestrictAfterburner_Su27Wingman_demonstration.trk GTX 1070 8GB, 16GB DDR3, W8.1 on SSD, DCS on another SSD
Nealius Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Same for "Restrict Jettison." AI will still jettison stores.

patpatpowercat Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 I think this is as intended. Restrict afterburner will stop aircraft from constantly flying in burner (like your wingman to rejoin), but the missile/threat defense logic overrules it. If you want to not have a plane evade change the "Reaction to threat" parameter.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 23, 2020 ED Team Posted June 23, 2020 Correct while the option will restrict afterburner for normal flight, it does not stop it completely thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
