I am. The one thing I don't want is to make 3d modeling a job. That's why I pace myself.  I think everyone understands by now. I do what I can when I can. Thanks, HighMaintenance. I forgot, I will send you a PM after this.

That is a beautiful model and no, they probably won't sell it. I've asked several 3d artists about selling their mods and all of them said no.  I think because they belong to a company of some sort.

Understood.   It does look like all these 3D model artists are probably under something of a contractual obligation, so I'll have to keep looking.  Best of luck with everything else.

Good Morning and Good afternoon everyone.

I have released LPD Foudre version 1.0.3 hull update.

I will send the Iranian Frigate out for testing today. Hoping to release her tomorrow. Thank you all for your patience.

Hawkeye explained it to me once, he said its caused in 3dmax where the model isnt smoothed, or rounded, before its exported. I cant recollect the exact way he described it but he did fix a couple of mods were doing at the time where this occurred.

Hi, another possibility that I read somewhere concerning these  texture differences is the lack of normal definitions on the parts that look darker than the others. This being said, I'm not a texture expert at all. Hope this helps.

Thanks Toan. We have to always adjust to the updates DCS releases. 

Everyone I have released the Rebel Ship Oscar. Nothing fancy about her. It's a nice size file because of the weapons I added on the topside decks. I probably should have placed tarps on top of them. I don't think any ships would be crazy enough to carry weapons on deck to be seen. Enjoy.

I don't know if it's my particular installation, but the rebel ship is quite laggy on my machine.  I notice the EDM is pretty large, so I'm guessing it's a relatively high poly model.

Hey Citizen, it's weird because I reduced the file size but when I updated the weapons the file size grew again. I will reduce it again to make it game-friendly. No worries. Thanks for the feedback.

Too late Eddie, I've already reduced the size of the file and uploaded an update. I need to find a tarp or something to cover them with.  Next update.

Hello everyone I have reduced the file size of the mod. It should be game-friendly.  Rebel Ship Oscar 1.0.1 has been updated and released.

Hey guys, I have made an optional version of the Rebel ship with tarps. I don't want to hurt Eddie's eyes. 😁 Also, some of you may not want to see the missiles and bombs. I found a free downloadable tarp on Sketchfab. Enjoy.

Thanks, Citizen. I assume your lag has diminished.

The idea of the mod came from what's going on in the Red Sea. A Loaded ammunition ship headed for Yemen.

@Admiral189 your ships have gotten better and better. Thank you very much! 

also your liveries seem to have gotten alot more realistic! Have you thought about revisiting some of your older ships , specifically the USS America ? 
Just seeing the deck IRL and then in game..theres a big difference :

Thanks Thanatos31, I appreciate that. Nice photo. I try to make each one better than the last. Each mod I learn something new.

To answer your question. Yes, that's my plan after I release the next group of mods. I will revisit all the Amphibious ships. America is one of those ships. Beldin has made my job a bit easier with creating the landing and parking spots on deck. I play with her sometimes to see what work I need to do on her but to make sure everything is running as it should.  I need to sit down and take my time with her because it's a bigger ship. At the moment she's working great in DCS.

she's gorgeous and adds a lot of immersion and "updated" silhouettes into the game 🙂
A new "dress" would also compliment her greatly 😉

Not sure if you got the last bunch of files I did for the America class. But I will send them again

I just wish I could get the V-22 to work 100% on the deck. It's pretty close but still not perfect from cold start😡.

Thanks to bbtbmb I was able to use his "Well Deck" texture to create the correct well deck look for the upcoming LHA-8 and 9 Hulls of the America class.

 

But as always Admiral you've been putting out some great stuff. Can't wait to load up the new Rebel cargo ship👍

Yes, I received them. I just haven't had time to sit down and concentrate on them. I planned to lighten the flight deck textures a little so you can see oil and grease spots. I will dirty her up a little. I need to correct the US Flag and add weapon sounds & files as well. In time.

The V-22s look fine to me. In the present day, I mostly see F-35s on deck. Looks good. Great job with the landing spots. Thanks again.

No hurry, but good to know they sent ok. PM when you dust her off. There are the 3 options for the spawn points and other weapon/sensor updates based on either your next gen frigate or CH modern USA ships. I can't recall but I need to make sure it's using your RIM 162 model and not Mr. Currenthills.

Only issue with the V-22 is he darn engine pod/wings rotate down and the props hit the ground on engine start/short take off. So only the "parking hot animation is correct. Ramp start uncontrolled also looks correct but basically make then static. If you trigger an engine start they will rotate down and hit the deck🤦‍♂️.  But other than that it works well. I have the lua updated so fuel load determines vertical or shortt take off modes. You can find my updated lua and info in the Modern Aircraft MOD thread.

Quick question about the Rebel cargo ship........ How do we know you left the missiles under the new tarps???????? 🤣😂🤣. Asking for a friend🧐  (They look amazing by the way 👍)

Sorry guys I haven't released the Iranian Frigate. Ran into some technical difficulties. I was told when I worked in IT to never spend more than 15 minutes trying to solve a problem. Move on and come back to it. However, I always try my best to resolve issues and sometimes that turns into days. Opinion. What do you guys think? Do you think it's too much grunge and rust? I'm trying to give the Comandanti the weathered look. I don't want to overdo it. That's what's so great about Substance Painter. You can create any effect you want. The waterline and hull numbers were painted on using the Projection feature. This is just practice. I sampled the texture of the real ship photo below but when I exported the texture it appeared close to white. 

Did you all know the US Navy used to have a White ship? USS Coronado AFG-11. I think it was painted white because of the extreme heat in the Arabian Gulf. It was stationed in Bahrain. Later it was painted Haze Grey and changed to LPD-11. The photo below was taken in 1981.

I'd say to make the rust just a touch more transparent, otherwise it looks great!

Virus was detected in the HMS Richmond F239 and the Sovremenny Class Destroyer Admiral Ushakov files, through the opera browser.
