Also, how far south is this map reaching?

The southern part of this map reaches the Northern suburbs of Tel-Aviv.

Is it guaranteed that Cyprus will be added in the future and it's just a question of 'when' or is it still a 'maybe' like it says in the FAQ?

Is there any kind of list what will be included in the EA release and what is supposed to be added during Early Access?

Thank you,

This!

The map is really great and I appreciate the work on it. But as said hundreds of times already.. Cyprus is really in the need to be implemented.

I really don´t get why it was not there from start. The same with Bahrain on the PG map.

I get that it is more work. But you really cannot exclude a whole landmass when you want to build a realistic map.

At least put it in even if it is not detailed, without towns and airports and complete it step by step with upcoming updates. I would be totally fine with that. But not putting it in at all is insane.

It´s just around 55 nm off the Syrian coast.. :book:

... or something got messed up with my install?

I'm missing Cyprus. Also, how far south is this map reaching?

There are also some missing landmarks (and potential targets?) in Israel such as large power stations (where are the two giant cooling towers in Haifa?).

The map's detailed area stops just north of Israel's central cities.

But the identifiable area is very large. From the southern tip of Crimea, almost reaching Riyadh.

It also spans from the eastern end of Iraq all the way to Greece. The resolution is very low but major features, shorelines, cities and rivers are identifiable.

I really hope the area to the south, from Egypt to Iraq, can be improved, at least concerning major historical events, maybe with community mods.

Attached is Baghdad, for example. Just let us add some Osirak buildings please :(

Not plans to South or East extensions. Egypt and Irak has outside of "Syria" map concept. Has more plausible a "Gulf War" and a "Sinai map", interconected on a future with the ED map interconection technology.

It's not guaranteed yet!!!

ED in all their statements in the past few days and weeks have always said, that they know about the demand for Cyprus and that they are looking for ways to make this possible. This is far from being a promise that it will eventually happen, but people already ignore that caveat and act like ED promised that:

Cyprus (or at least a portion of it) will be coming later.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I just don't understand why they are so vague about it. It's the kind of thing you should tell people when stuff goes on sale. Of course people wanna know what's included. Same goes for an exact list of features.

Cypress was not initially going to be included in the map. They had explicitly said it wasn't going to be in until just a few weeks ago when they responded to community feedback for it. If you look at the initial map layout, it was much narrower and did not include the western area where Cypress would be.

Yeah, no vague at all. It's coming though no date or info on how detailed it'll be yet since it's a last time addition.

Anyway, since you don't own the map you don't care whether it's there or not :smilewink: .

No date or info on how detailed it will be is exactly what I call vague. Plus there's no confirmation of Cyprus neither in the store description nor on the product page. Just a few forum/hoggit posts. Remember they promised a lot of features for a number of modules. Many of them for years. Still waiting for most of them though.
Which ones? I don't see so many broken promises, that's only your words not a fact .

Well as you can see, I actually still care.
You shouldn't until you buy and see by yourself, until that all you say is just babbling and hate posting  .

My opinion is just as valid as yours
Sorry, but I believe you're quite wrong. How on Earth could your "opinion" be as good as mine if you haven't seen the thing in person?

Anyway, I don't get what's troubling you with Cyprus, it's coming you want it or not, it's right now being determined to what detail level can be done I guess without too much fuss to the whole map because it wasn't planned at first, it wasn't planned when I bought it but still I did, you didn't your problem. It is what it is, you take it or leave it but spreading inventions about something you don't know (it's not coming, they say nothing, whatever) is not the way to go.
