[CORRECT AS IS] Mark Points Only Available outside sequence

I do not know if this is correct or not, I suspect it isn't. Mark points cannot be accessed if you have SEQ selected and must unselect it in order to be able to access markpoints. This makes the pilot have to go all the way through the 3 sequences unboxed and boxed before being able to return to the SEQ1 boxed. Track attached.

Sounds right to me. With SEQ boxed, you only have access to the WPs in that sequence and MKs are not part of the sequence.

Might be right, that's why I started saying that it could be correct.

That sounds absolutly correct to me. Same thing with manually created waypoints. They're not part of the sequence either, unless you manually insert them into a sequence.

I haven't played around with Markpoints in the Hornet yet, so here's a question: Is it possible to insert Markpoints into a sequence?

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

No, according to natops

The latest Hornet mini update post says:

"Markpoints are stored after the 60 onboard waypoints, however, it's not necessary to increment the waypoint selector in the HSI/SA formats all the way past 60, as it's possible to decrement it below waypoint 1 to access markpoints (starting at markpoint 9 and decrementing)."

Does that only work without having selected a sequence.

(Can't test myself for I have stable DCS but I'm curious.)

Correct, just like a waypoint that isnt in your sequence. They are basically waypoints 60-68, but cant be put in a FP and are called funny names.

Thanks. I love the Hornet but sometimes I wonder why the original Boeing software has to be so unhandy. Certainly not ED's problem. Giving us the real limitations of modules is appreciated.

Bit late to this, but I was playing around with Markpoints at the weekend.  If you have a waypoint sequence selected, then any Markpoints you create are added to the next (unselected) sequence of waypoints after WP60.
