Sn8ke Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 (edited) This happened on the NTTR map at night. When engaging targets, just one burning vehicles causes a completely washed out FLIR image on both the TGP and IR Maverick displays. This is when looking in the vicinity of the vehicle but not at it. hein22 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Please add a track replay or a picture / video thanks Hi BN. This has been reported a thousand times by many customers, how come ED still needs tracks for this to be reported and eventually fixed? It is an issue, has been an issue and will continue to be an issue until fixed; ED has already acknowledged this as well. I'm not trying to be a blocking person here, just a customer worried about the heading ED is taking. Thanks. 1 Stay safe

How do I know it is the same issue if the post has no useful information to check it? I could just mark it already reported and close, but then nothing will have been checked or confirmed. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? WOPR Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 (edited) Bump. Track replay file is ~111MB. How about another screen cap? This one is in Syria. Black hot or white hot both have same issue. Both cases are shown. MFDs are set to night mode. Cockpit lighting mode is night mode. HUD is in night mode just in case it matters. UPDATE: manually adjusting gain & level seems to clear up the issue to about what is expected. Same mission. Edited April 5, 2021 by WOPR added information.
SharpeXB Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 What I see on the FLIR image at night or in low light is just illegible. Just a splotchy blur no matter the level or gain settings. So it’s not usable at all. Are there improvements planned for the pods? I haven’t flown the Hog for years but I remember being able to pick out targets using the FLIR but that’s not possible now. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5

Yes, the FLIR rework has been planned for a very long time now. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
