SIM-MOD CO-OP A-10 Warthog Weekend

The Associated Press London announced today that 8 multinational peace keepers visiting Sochi, Krasnodar Krai in anticipation of the 2014 Olympic Games, have been kidnapped by militant extremists and are being held hostage in an undisclosed location in the remote mountains north of Krasnaya Polyana.

The men being held are part of the renowned International A-10 Sim-Mod Team credited with the latest state of the art designs for the Warthog. Esteemed members include Deadman, Highwayman-Ed, Mustang, Rockwelder, Ruggbutt, SuperKungFu , Warthogmadman987 and Yeniceri. The team were reportedly traveling to the future Olympic sight when they were overtaken by a heavily armed group of militants.

Rumor has it that these radical militants, in opposition to the international event, are placing demands on the surrounding Countries to submit and cancel the scheduled Russian Olympics or the hostages will be executed and attacks will begin in their homelands.

Countries involved have a "no tolerance" policy with regard to dealing with demands from terrorists and leaders across the world are calling for a united allied strike on the region.

As reported by Reuters "the Kremlin has a major stake in delivering successful games because President Vladimir Putin lobbied personally for Sochi's bid." The Kremlin is now calling for support of all leaders to conduct airstrikes on the rogue territories saying that, "at this time, all ground targets in the area are to be considered hostile and should be destroyed."

Because of the value of the hostages and all that they have sacrificed for the international community, the militaries are offering up all newly re-designed A-10s to take part in air to ground strikes so that elite troops may then be sent in to rescue these respected men. Pilots from across the globe are being called upon to take part in this operation and help free them.

Good Luck!. Hostilities commenced at aproximately 1600 ZULU time and continue even now as more brave pilots and squadrons join the frey to assist in the rescue. Please join us in our TS server. (info below)

I noticed FPS decrease, unfortunetely new model - much better than oryginal - eats FPS, it is normal. Anyway it was wonderful to see so many A-10s in one time :D Hope we'll can also catch on 25T which has is the IMO the best look and most dangerous ground attack plane in FC :)

We had greater then 30+ A-10 Pilots at once and many more flew any number of sorties over the weekend. As you know our goal was to bring attention to the SIM-MOD team’s exceptional efforts. In this regard we sincerely hope that as a result of the event we both raised awareness of and encouraged others to download and install this outstanding A-10 modification for LockOn.

There was no noticeable impact on FPS or performance that could even remotely be attributed to the SIM-MOD A-10 model for LockOn. Any FPS or performance problems we had, while noticeable were slight and likely due to the large number of ground targets present in the mission AFAIK. No major problems were reported.

All in all it was a great weekend. Given that this was a single AC specific event 30+ at once is outstanding. Warthog Weekend was a fitting tribute to the SIM-MOD team and their gift to everyone who shares in our passion for LockOn.

Moving forward we at the 104th will host frequent "special community driven" events as often as possible to pay homage and tribute to those that have gone above and beyond for the sake of the entire community.

From all of us at the 104th thanks again to the SIM-MOD team for all the hard work! We love the new model and skins!

Skies the limit, Community Rules!
