    • Yes it is good idea, I think it will be better and more fun to kill enemy...
    • No, leave it as now it is...

I am thinking about missiles and playing in Lock on. For more fun and enjoying why not forbid example R-77, AIM-120, R-27ET and R-27EM (not AR missile but little too long range) and leave alone only SARH missiles - R-27ER, R, AIM-7, R-27T, R-60, R-73, AIM-9.

 

By this more is needed to kill enemy than only fire few missiles and run away;) More challenging, nervous about hit or not hit, more fun.

 

I would like to know yours opinions.

Yes and no. If the mission Idea is to recreate a time that predates ARH active deployment, lack of resources or just to make things a little more fun for a particular mission, then Yes. But as a blanket statement for some kind of online prime directive, then No.

 

I think we should bring back the loadout lock feature in an eventual patch.

I don't see a need for that.

Firing an ARH does not mean that your opponent will be hit every time. IMHO, the kill probability of an ARH in Lock-On is slightly higher than with a SARH. A good defensive maneuver started early enough will almost certain spoil the ARH-shot fired at you.

Every head has an opinnion, then let each server admin manage weapon loadouts for the players. Mission conditioning as you mentioned is also a reason to bring this feature back. Infact it only adds options, I dont know why ED removed it. Poeple complained its absence in Flamming cliffs right after it came out.

R-27EM has the same performance as R-27ER in LO :thumbup:

No. It's more dangerous than ER. You can check this by using some of exploits (e.g. barell roll or flying at 10-15 meters) ER won't hit you in any case, instead of EM's possibility similar like ET one;)

In respect to the original post of R-27ER being allowed and not EM because the range is further, I pointed out that it was the same.

 

But on overall performance I would say they are exactly the same as both perform a maximum of 21g in tacview both accelerate the same and reach the same range, and neither will kill you below 10m.

Some have indeed proposed some ideas for the missions and in return they got answers like why don't you do it your self (hosting a mission).

it's as in not exactly as they have done it them selves, you know?
