Hi @SliderCDN. I've just noticed your DCS detects a tiny 5GB pagefile. That's probably what's bothering it.

Try setting a 32GB pagefile (initial size = 32768 / max size = 32768) - guide

It was already set to 16Gb, but I increased it to 32Gb. I flew the other day for few hours, but then it crashed with this error log.

It seems to me a script called "Volanta" caused the crash. Look:

The script is here: "DCS.openbeta\SCripts\DCS_Volanta.lua". Do you know where it comes from? You should remove the mod it originates from, or maybe reinstall this mod.

I know what that is, but I didn't realize it installed it into DCS as well. I tried it out for Prepar3D. https://fselite.net/originals/first-look-orbx-volanta/

 

I have completely removed it now.

Hi @SliderCDN. Please try this:

1. LaunchD:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\distr\vcredist_x64.exe : hit "Repair",
2. Launch D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\distr\vc_redist.x64.exe : tick the box and hit "Install" (or "Repair" if you can find it, I can't). You might get this error message (no worries, I have it too).

It worked once. Today, after starting my PC, I tried starting DCS about 15 times, every time nothing happens and then I get the message from post 1.

Do you get the same result when launching DCS.exe manually? (go to D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\ and double-click DCS.exe)

I'm asking because DCS.exe usually gets launched by DCS_updater.exe (which hides behind the startup icon).

No difference. Same error. I just flew sortie and half online, about 45 minutes, it CTD without error and when I try to restart, same 2 popups as per post #1 show up.

Hey @SliderCDN. Please try these steps and tell us how it goes:

1. Delete \DCS World\bin\DCS.exe
2. Run a DCS repair
3. Scan your drives for errors

PC restarted (power completely off for few minutes).

 

Game (not)started with same problem, no change.

 

For a while, I have been getting this window for every single module existing (owned and not owned), but after skipping all of them, owned modules are loaded properly.

How many times do I need to tell you I have done that and it lead to nowhere? We are talking MONTHS if not a YEAR of same problem, reinstalling Windows cleanly, checking all my hardware MULTIPLE times and ZERO other problems with all other games.

Last ticket was closed by support specifically because of this thread and because they are following it. Repair we all thought was a solution, was NOT a solution and was not a hardware problem as per support ticket. Errors returned, hardware has not changed, ALL software is kept up to latest update. I even moved the game to a secondary SSD I use with everything else and still same problem.

Your CTD..
'This' might be the lighting controller for your RGB or even an invasive 'ambilight' software of some kind. 
And if this is in control of your hardware, DCS might not have control over your GPU' and is leaving the card to deal with it own conflict behind the game.
Looking through your processes ('wow'- A LOT of them too) you have an Asus board, and corsair/steel series peripherals right?
From your log, youre experiencing the crash on Syria, in 'power hungry' moments. Before its turning itself off 'as its too busy' using its power for control of the GPU for something else.

It looks like something (software in charge) maybe fighting for control of your GPU, and forcing your GPU to 'shake its head' and ask 'why dont I have control', and making itself reset to try and solve its own 'problem', which is kicking you to the desktop.

The only thing i can imagine that runs on your GPU, while youre in a game IS RGB lighting.
Try disabling ALL your RGB at the bios level (aura), and turn off all controls for your RGB on your video card. If you have an Asus board, the conflict will be in armoury crate for example.
Uncheck the GPU box, and See if that makes a difference.
In iCUE, under settings turn off "Enable Plugins".
If this solves the CTD, you no longer will be able to enjoy RGB.
But, the chances are youll gain performance as your GPU's more than likely, been struggling to deal with assigning power to the conflict, and will run better just being a GPU.

 

If it doesnt help, then something else is conflicting with your GPU, and its looks as if its resetting itself- either to 'solve an issue', or 'because its being told to by something'.
It may be a driver (im on the much older 457.51- as i cant run the Channel on the new drivers), power supply, or a fault on the mo'bo./GPU..
But if its not being experienced in other games. Its not likely to be a hardware fault, but a software conflict.

The more details you give us, the more likely we are we can find the issue.

Stevan, thanks for trying, but nothing changed. After this many MONTHS of problems only with DCS, I am more than 200% confident it's some stupid bit of code in DCS itself. I am running P3Dv5 with 500Gb+ of addons without an issue, several other demanding games and sims, no issues. Only DCS causes crashes and errors WITHOUT ANY LOGS or evidence of a problem aside from simply not working.

Yeah no problem. I saw from your video, something is shutting the game down.
Youve a long list of processes, Id to warrant a bet something on that list is forcing a shut down of some kind.

Unfortunetly, if the game runs for a majority, the only thing to do, is figure out which process is running on your comp. that wouldnt run on someone elses PC.

If its happening randomly, then why not record your desktops while task manager is open, to see which process is using the most power/mem usage etc.

Disable the top, and Work back from that?

Since the list of processes was posted, I have reinstalled my Windows, so that's not accurate any more. 

It's not happening randomly, if anything, it only works randomly for few minutes to maybe 15-20 minutes, after I try to start it 5, 6, 10 times (either no error or the error from post #1).

Only processes running are ones required for the PC to work, I've eliminated everything.

My invitation to support staff to connect to my PC and look for themselves is still open. There isn't much on here aside from those few games and sims. If it'll help resolve the issue, I'm all for it.

Open up MsConfig, go to services tab. Hide all Microsoft services. See those thats left? Sort by 'running', uncheck all thats 'stopped', Im sure of those that are left- One of those is causing you the issue.
Id uncheck everything that doesnt look like its needed.
You can either try unchecking one at a time, and starting DCS, Or unchecking all and see how DCS goes without any of them.
Heres mine for reference, to see if anything is there on yourside that looks out of place.

Click 'hide all microsoft services bottom left, then un check every service that isnt needed ie youve left 'iracing', 'logitech' and 'flexnet' checked.
Youre still running services that arent needed.

We need to qualify that the game can run first without the third party software.
As long as check the 'hide all services' box, you should be able to boot up the computer without anything else (clean boot).

But 'Non essential' usually means 'hide all microsoft services' then turn off everything but the video driver.

You dont need 'iracing', 'flexnet' or the 'logitech' stuff to see if the game will run..
