Ragazzi io amo e uso DCS soprattutto non come "gioco" ma per conoscere ed approfondire il funzionamento di aerei ed elicotteri che mi appassionano.

Pensavo di conoscere molto bene l'Apache ma da quando è uscito questo modulo la mia conoscenza su questo elicottero (un dei mie mezzi preferiti in assoluto) è aumentata incredibilmente. Ieri sera ho fatto una scoperta che nella sua semplicità e stupidità  mi ha comunque entusiasmato.

Mi ero sempre chiesto il motivo per la sovrastruttura presente sopra l'abitacolo del pilota, avevo capito che era un parasole ma non avevo idea che si potessero muovere...

Sono queste piccole cretinata che mi fanno amare DCS!!!

Scusate mi sembra che dall’ultimo (o meglio dal penultimo visto quello di oggi) nella postazione del CP/G non si riesce più ad usare l’HOCAS CURSOR sugli MPD ne dal il collettivo ne dal LHG del TEDAC, tutti e due i joy sono mappati perfettamente sul mio collettivo e sul mio controller FUSION PRO, sono andato a vedere sul forum internazionale in tutte le sezione ma nessuno ne parla, che voi sappiate è un bug noto o c’è qualche nuova impostazione da fare per abilitare il CURSOR?

The AH-64D is an exceedingly complex aircraft with much work still to do. The biggest tasks underway are the introduction of the AGM-114L radar-guided Hellfire missile and implementation of the Improved Datalink Model (IDM) that will allow flight members to exchange their location and targets. In parallel with these two important tasks, we are also working on the following in 2023:

Improved Flight Model and Stability and Control Augmentation System (SCAS). Compared to fixed-wing aircraft, a rotary-wing aircraft like the AH-64D can be a handful to fly, and a helicopter’s flight model is a very complex simulation to get properly implemented and “dialed in”. The AH-64D’s Flight Management Computer operates using a substantial series of logics to govern the SCAS, which can be almost as complex as the flight model itself to implement. We are continuing to refine the SCAS to make flying this aircraft a bit easier by adjusting the collective channel behavior, tuning the yaw offset, eliminating the roll when ham-fisting the collective, and adjusting the hold modes.

Fire Control Radar (FCR). The FCR is one of the features that significantly adds lethality compared to the older A model. The FCR will be able to scan for, detect, classify, and cue weapons to both air and ground units. This will be one of our team’s larger tasks for 2023.

Laser Spot Tracker. In addition to laser self-designating, the AH-64D will also detect and track a laser from an off-board designation source like another aircraft or a JTAC.

Laser Warning Receiver. Our AH-64D can already detect both radar emission and missile launches, but it will also be able to detect and warn you of being laser designated. A laser designation is a good indication that you may have a tank round or laser-guided missile coming your way.

Radar Frequency Interferometer (RFI) and Radar Jammer. The RFI is part of the FCR, and it can provide the location of radar emitters in range and azimuth and the radar jammer and reduce the effectiveness. We plan to work on these after the above items, but they may be 2024 development tasks.

Ho un problema...stavo configurando i comandi nella sezione pilota e ho notato che in "axis command" non mi fa settare il collettivo sul mio throttle. Diversamente, in CP/G il collettivo è già configurato con l'asse ma in cockpit non si muove e di conseguenza non ottengo spinta. Come mai? Dove sto sbagliando?

Non è che hai il dente dell’afterburner e non arrivi all’escursione completa?
che manetta usi?
Ho un hotas Warthog e il dente non influisce aull'afterburner...anche perché nelle opzioni CP/G funziona bene.

DCS: AH-64D Mini-Updates

A little update on DCS: AH-64D development. We understand that some of you are concerned about the lack of new features. No resources have been taken off the AH-64D, and work continues ahead steadily. Much of this work has focused on bug fixes and tunning. Before we add too many new features, it is very important that we first have a solid foundation to build upon. Additionally, a big push on bug fixes and tuning has been required to avoid player confusion and frustration. Some of the larger bug fixes and tuning that have been underway include:

  • Tuning how George calculates target range.
  • Corrected TEDAC video errors.
  • Adjusted HUD only views.
  • Tuning damage model like flying sans-tail.
  • Adjusted gun fire shake.
  • Fix multi-crew ASE sync.
  • Removed HDU glare.
  • Fix some engine start issues.
  • Tuning LMC.
  • Further improvements to the PERF page.
  • Better IR texture maps.
  • Lesson, input, and tool tip improvements.
  • Fixes to the CMWS flare system.
  • Tuning of SAS collective channel issues and altitude/attitude holds.
  • Fix SAS tones and hold behaviors.
  • Tuning yaw offset.
  • Fix PNVS stutter.
  • More accurate weight calculations.
  • Trim tuning.
  • Multi-crew hold modes sync.
  • Fix hold modes disengagement logic.
  • SAS fixes.
  • Better SAS Collective altitude hold.
  • More realistic slip ball behavior.
  • APU not requiring fuel fix.
  • Fixed various warnings and advisories.
  • Fixed standby indicators.
  • Tuning TADS and NVS relationship.


This is to name a few. A great deal of work on this front is ongoing.

Although bug fixing and tuning has been our priority, we have certainly been working on new features that are not gated by existing bugs. Some of these include:

  • Option to remove the auxiliary fuel tank for more cannon rounds.
  • Adding the AGM-114L radar-guided Hellfire.
  • Adding the Improved Datalink Modem (IDM) and Longbow Net.
  • Adding the Fire Control Radar (FCR).
  • Adding the Laser Spot Tracker (LST).
  • Adding animated engine nacelle cooling doors.
  • Wipers removing rain drops.

Work continues steadily on DCS: AH-64D with much of the focus being on bug fixes and polishing. Before delivering you with more new features, it is very important that we secure a solid foundation to build upon. Additionally, a big push on fixes and tuning has been made to alleviate player confusion and frustration. Some of the notable items that are underway can be found in the forum post here and include:

  • Tuning of the damage model.
  • Engine start issues.
  • Improvements to the flight model, Stability Augmentation System (SAS), and hold modes.

Although bug fixing and tuning has been our priority, we have certainly been working on new features that are not restricted by existing bugs. UPDATE

riformulo meglio…

Dopo l’update se lancio DCS normalmente parte la classica versione single thread e mi funziona tutto.

Se lancio l'eseguibile MT in modalità monitor mi funziona tutto in VR SOLO l’Apache manca in CDT DCS.

Nel LOG leggo errori su OpenXR e che non trova deli asset dell’Apache ma non capisco perché errore OpenXR non accada su altri mezzi o trovi tutto e vada liscio l’Apache in monitor e in VR single thread.

Ho provato un repair rapido ma non ha risolto niente…

Consigli?

DCS: AH-64D Mini-Updates

In today's Open Beta update, a few additional control options were added that were not listed in the changelog. As we continue to improve the behavior of the TADS, specifically when using Linear Motion Compensation (LMC), we've added a few additional input commands and an additional option under the Special tab.

Four new input commands have been added to the TEDAC right handgrip category to allow the Manual Track (MAN TRK) controller to be moved diagonally to adjust the pitch and yaw of the TADS turret with a single input. For players that are using an 8-way hat switch to control the TADS slew inputs, these four additional commands will allow you use all 8 direction positions of the switch.

In addition to the new commands above, a slider has been added to the AH-64D options under the Special tab for those users using 4-way or 8-way hat switches to control the TADS slew. When applying a slew input using a hat switch, the MAN TRK controller on the right handgrip will increase in magnitude as the input is held, allowing a short tap to make a small magnitude slew input, and a continuous press to make a large magnitude slew input. By adjusting this slider, you can control the rate that the MAN TRK input magnitude increases, or "ramps up", to further fine-tune your input device as you prefer.

AH-64D Development Report

The most recent update to the DCS: AH-64D module includes the addition of the AGM-114L radar-guided Hellfire missile and Laser Spot Tracker (LST), as well as the option for the auxiliary fuel tank. The update also fixes several issues related to Multi-Crew and the rotor lighting effect artifacts at night have also been fixed. The VHF AM radio can now only receive in the 108 - 115.975 MHz range, and missile constraints box and rocket steering cursor are now displayed when SAFE. Additionally, the George AI now uses weapons correctly and there is no "Back Scatter" message when there are no missiles. Overall, the update has made improvements to the DCS: AH-64D module's functionality. Uhm, non penso cosi tanto, aggiungendo l'iva inglese, la spedizione e la dogana italica si dovrebbe stare sotto i 2K o al massimo pareggiarli, comunque rimane sempre una fucilata intendiamoci 😄

Vabbè se mi volevate intristire ci siete riusciti….

Considerate che non ho più budget per DCS, a stento riuscirò a prendere i moduli ma l’HW di qualsiasi tipo è escluso.

Avevo messo in vendita in un mercatino dell’usato la mia sconfinata collezioni di videogiochi originali per commodore 64, Amiga e PC DOS, e tutto l’HW una console della Seleco del 1978 due commodore 64 con tutte le periferiche, Amiga 500 e 1200 (con grande pena dato che erano pezzi della mia vita) e con i soldi ricavati mi volevo finanziare il nuovo HW.

Beh il negozio (che aveva anche mobili e tante altre cose di tanti altri clienti) ha chiuso di nascosto scappando con tutto.
