When did the static main menu hangar go?

Yep the f-14 readability pack also includes a hanger replacement...

Hmm historically I never install Mods, this one has me tempted just for the Hangar change.

My thought exactly!

(I resist though, I like to keep my install as clean as possible to prevent stuff from breaking..)

 

Still... ED should make better use of what the VR menu can offer. Would cost them very little time and energy to add a few beautiful VR menus to choose from. The current Su-27 hanger is really getting old and by now there are much more detailed aircraft to exhibit in the VR menu.

You can just install the sceneVR.LUA which will give you the very hanger change

This mod is excellent all round. Makes a big difference to the VR Tomcat cockpit.

In the end I disabled the VR menu scene in this mod as, although it looks nice when you're in the main menu, it also appears when you access the F10 map in flight and that causes 2 issues.  Firstly, it uses quite a lot of resources - check fpsVR when it's running - and, most importantly, causes issues with the sky redrawing on F10 map exit.

Ok, I'll look at that. What needs to change?

Also, someone ought to tell the author to change the name of the file to be OvGME compatible.  All he needs to do is remove the 2 '_'  in the name.  At the moment, the file is 'F-14_VUX_v2.1.zip', but to be compatible with the internal folder, it needs to be 'F-14 VUX v2.1.zip'.
