Stearmandriver Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 I don't know if this is a bug or proper behavior, but I didn't see it mentioned on the patch notes so thought I'd check. On the latest (today's) open beta, the chaff/flares indication on the SA page is visible with the dispenser switch in "On", but when the dispenser switch is moved to "Bypass", this indication disappears. Now, if you're flying with the dispenser in bypass, you have to switch it back to on to check chaff/flares remaining. Is this correct behavior? Thanks...
mrprime Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Also noticed this and would also like to know if it's intended behaviour or not, I would assume it's not correct as regardless of whether you're on or bypass the pilot would want to know their CM levels.
Thallios Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 After the latest Open Beta Patch the Countermeasures Display in the SA page is missing when Dispenser is set to bypass. When the Dispenser switch is set to ON the display appears. Is this a Bug or working as intended? 1

Brass2-1 Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Hopefully that’s a bug. I typically use bypass, that’s going to be a pain.
Mnf Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 I have the same issue, and if your back to "ON" from "Bypass" the dispenser start self & BIT test.
Arikaj Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 This issue is here for more than a year now. Not since latest update.
Stearmandriver Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 However, I did learn tonight that chaff/flares can now be dispensed with the master arm off. I don't know if this is a latest update change, but it's welcome!

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 11, 2021 ED Team Posted February 11, 2021 Hi all I have marked this correct as is. In Bypass mode the counter measures programmer is off, so there is no source for the information. If you have any evidence this is different please PM me thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
