mvsgas Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Thanks Yoda will make sure to exit before 4 minutes next time. Sorry I was hoping some air cover would show up but never did. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
RvEYoda Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 Server now punishes teamkillers. (5 minute kick) Teamkills and kills with illegal weapons can no longer cause mission to rotate. S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
A.S Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 server punishes also if you land anywhere else then allowed territorium or bases :smilewink: (that jet then will count as lost with short time kick) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Cool, no more road landings to "get the score" ;) "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
RvEYoda Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) road landings most likely : 2 min kick EDIT: A bug was found in the auto-kick on TK code. It is fixed and will be on the server when we install the new AMRACT version. Edited August 25, 2008 by =RvE=Yoda S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). Kevlon Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 hows is the su 27's doing against the f15's ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 The answer of this question has always been depending on the pilot(s) ;) "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
RvEYoda Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 HMm comes down to pilot yes, but 1v1 eagle vs Flanker, my money is on the Flanker! For many v Many I dont know. S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
A.S Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 What semi-active missile fights mostly force is smart teamplay and -tactics and that´s what we aim for. In 1v1 and relating to that question everything can happen though here and there advantages of jets may differ. It really comes down to the Pilot and his skills. ( stop thinking with your weapons ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 In 1v1 I would always prefer the Eagle, regardless of weapons used, but lets stay on topic ;) "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. My money is on the Eagle, you just need to know how to move it. I dont think I got hit yet by any Flankers on this server, its cool playing Cat and Mouse. Your piloting skills are really tested here. I also really feel that you guys are just scratching the serfice with your softwear, Im sure you guys will write some really good stuff in the near future. In this server the old lock up fire and forget is gone, along with those ET's. I value a good "Flight" battle instead of ETs', R-77s, and 120s. Edited August 27, 2008 by cool_t
TheMoose Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I’m still wondering on how you can apply such mission. You’re even restricting more missiles that’s built in within Lo-Mac…How would you manage the restrictions? As far as I know you can’t… Unless the session is private, publicly you’re screwed. (pardon my French) But I’m curious on how you would accomplish such session… Antec 900 gaming tower, PSU: Corsair 750W, Q6600, Asus P5K, 8Gig Mushkin, Nvidia eVGA 280 GTX Superclocked 1G DDR3, SSDNOW200 Kingston Drive, TrackIr 3000+Vector, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals pro, Sharp 42" inch LCD Aquo. (pardon my French) But I’m curious on how you would accomplish such session… As soon as the our software detects usage of "mission-illegal weapons" in the lockon log files on the server, the client that uses those weapons gets an IP-ban with a message saying why. RvETito Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Yep, the server won't ban you if you load or even fire an illegal weapon. It will kick you only if you kill someone/something with it. Once in my Frog I got an amraam on my a$$ and the guys said 'Don't dodge!' to ban to guy but I spared his sorry life and evade it :D The very same guy ignored the rules once more, this time I was in a MiG and I gladly eate his slammer. It is fun to watch their reactions- Oh no, I didn't know... :) "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. Boberro Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Russia withdrawing from Poland. Very nice pics! :):D Wonderful pics, thanks! Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Pilotasso Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 (edited) hows is the su 27's doing against the f15's ? Pretty good actualy. the sparrow is a good missile in LOMAC but it doesnt quite work well as a dogfight missile (as it shouldnt) unless your on the bandits tail while hes running 2 miles in front of you. noobs go defensive at 10 miles but any other players have managed to bring it down to offensive knife range without getting hit by sparrows. i have tried the flanker and verified this. Edited August 28, 2008 by Pilotasso .
RvEYoda Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 If I see Pilotasso in a 15 and I get to pick my own plane, I would take a flanker.....This situation actually happened a few days back :P S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). Pilotasso Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 (edited) the reverse hapened 3 days ago :P lol :D But I refrained from saying names in this thread  Edited August 28, 2008 by Pilotasso .
Frostie Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 The opposite happened a few more days before with different names too.:D But seriously these missions are a cool idea and really demand A2A tactics in a way that couldn't be bettered afaik in LO regardless of a/c flown. 1 "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. RvEYoda Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) Server Update: Stats System online! We are happy to announce we are joining the combined stats page of the 3sqn and 51st! You can access the stats at http://71.6.210.76/ And soon you will also be able to use http://stats.reservoirselite.com/ Future projects will include the objective and mission based stats as described in previous posts. Currently we are just running your "normal lockon server stats" ;). Happy splashing! Edited September 6, 2008 by =RvE=Yoda S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0).
