playing in VR is a complete pain in the arse, especially entering the codes at the beginning of the mission ... I will give it another crack but its just to bleeding laborious when you cant see the keyboard.

Also mission planning in VR is also slightly less than fun ... shame good concept, limited by the scope of the capabilities in the current game

Maybe something like voice attack would work for you.  It's a godsend for me in VR.  I currently don't have this campaign, but plan on acquiring once I am proficient at AAR and Carrier Landings.

Hadn't thought about the campaign codes.  Thanks for pointing that annoyance out.

I've never used vr so I'm curious, does a vr  user have their headset on all the time, even in menus? Does using vr mean your flat screen doesn't show anything at all, or could you take the headset off to do things on the F10 map before taking off?

Yes, headset on all the time, at least until they implement a quick way to switch like MSFS has. An image shows on the monitor, but is smaller and in vertical aspect ratio. I use a G2 with WMR. Oculus may be different, I don't know.

Another issue is that you will want different settings if you switch between monitor and VR, since you will have to run with reduced graphical settings to maintain good fps in VR. Since DCS doesn't have separate profiles for that, a good solution is SkateZilla's DCS Updater GUI Utility. You can save multiple settings profiles there. I even use that utility to launch DCS instead of the normal executable.

Again, while performance for me in MSFS is crappy compared to DCS, they got it right when it comes to monitor and VR settings separate, and quick switching between monitor and headset at any time you choose. It would be great to have here.

Fully agree, would love to see the same ability in DCS that MSFS 2020 has to switch between VR and Monitor.
