TimRobertsen Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 After the 2.7 update the overlay stopped showing up. I've tried unchecking and checking the box in options, but it's gone. In the posts I've read it seems that it shows up sporadicly, regardless of whether the options-box is checked, but for me it simply doesn't show up. Does anyone know if there is a workaround/what might be causing this? First become an aviator, then become a terminator

HILOK Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 have you tried repair? i had the jhmcs disappearing occasionally (before 2.7) -fast repair always brought it back

And how do I do it? First become an aviator, then become a terminator
HILOK Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 not at all you can use the win search bar or look into your dcs launch folder. there should be a shortcut called DCS REPAIR. then you have several options. i'd recommend the FAST option first. dont think i ever needed the other ones... let me know, if it works.

Chinga Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 I think you have to run it thru a command prompt...not thru power shell. while in powershell do a cmd command then the dcs_updater repair

Try and use the DCSWorld root folder and manually add in 'bin\dcs_updater.exe repair' Edited May 11, 2021 by Tholozor REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
Chinga Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 when you first open powershell just type in cmd. not cmd command. i probably worded that wrong
Sharkku Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) Try using DCS updater utility. Handy tool. Edited May 11, 2021 by Sharkku 1

Tholozor Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 My file structure will be different, but doing it like this didn't work? That's odd. Maybe Steam doesn't like doing it manually: Right-click DCS World in your Library, go to Properties, Local Files, select Verify integrity of game files. Are you sure you pointed the tool to the correct install directory?

The program recognized the different modules and tech, but wouldn't allow repair and update. Does DCS and DCS beta have different folders? First become an aviator, then become a terminator
