The Flaming Cliffs Add-on cost more than that. Where did they come up with that price?

 

This price is for jewel from 1C publisher on CIS countries.

That's just 77,62 danish Kroner, and the price for a normal game in denmark is usually from 299,95 Kroner... I suspect the western release will be somewhat more expensive, at least I'd gladly pay the usual retail game price for it.

I doubt that this will be the general price. You can't take the price in one country and simply translate that into your own currency.

 

Small example:

 

Photoshop: CS3 costs ~500 USD in the USA - that's in Euros: 370 Euros

 

 

Actual price in Germany: 890 Euros....

Skipper I'm not, merely comparing with russian price, first off danish customs takes 4,5 % then you have a standard sales tax on all consumer goods here 25% and you have to take into account the price of distribution and such (I sell games for a living)

 

I was just impressed by the price.

But, yes, CIS price is for CIS market. Russian FC is less then 10 EUR.

 

I just hope that, in case I will not be albe to buy Russian DCS, I will not have to pay a price adjusted to spending rates in EU. As I said before, there are more people outside of EU, and even more of them are with average incoms comparable to Russian.

any way DVD for CIS market will cost you about 20E at least... don't forget shipping :)

I think €30 to €50 is a good estimate for the sales price within the EU. Maybe we will know more tomorrow.

 

Western release still approx 4 months down the line.......

Aah - with you :)

 

Interesting point that.......the only way one could get hold of a Russian version would be to have a buddy send you a DVD (No shipping outside of Russia IIRC) OR to download it from the ED site as Wags has mentioned.

 

I'm certainly interested to note the price of the said download version and how it compares to the actual sales price of the online stores - One would assume they will be the same!

Danish Squid, I was not directly responding to you. Just wanted to make a point on the general discussion in this thread, not taking into account various things.

 

And that is not only true for the DVD, but also for the download-version. Don't forget that many institutes charge a fee for transactions into the CIS-states. So while the price for the game may be 10 Euros or less, that doesn't mean you have to pay merely 10 Euros.

 

And for DVDs outside the CIS, that is even worse, considering shipping and taxes. A German shop has the DVD-Version offered for 39.99 Euros, the printed English manual for 19.99 Euros. And I guess that's what we have to pay for the DVD, because that was also close to the price of FC, when it was released.

 

But anyway, it would be very helpful, if there was some official word on all these questions finally..... :shifty:

No worries Skipper, I might have been a bit fast on the response, my apologies!.

 

Yeah still it does depend on the issue of distribution.

I even tried getting our multimedia director to try and sell DCS: BS but he declined , too much of a niche product so I got told off, and kinda laughed at aswell. Too bad simulations aren't taken seriously.

Lets face it guys, does it really matter what price it will be, Lets be honest with ourselves, WE are all going to get the download if we can anyway, Don't think any of us will be able to sleep knowing BS is out there to fly, even if it is a different language :D

i will not buy it in russian version, i am afraid to get frustrated... i dont know nothing in russian and i will lost my money, i will wait for DEMO or english version...
