So, I did the training stuff and decided to go on a random mission. After startup.. I can't move. Like, there are no wheel chocks. Also, helis can take off vertically. I go full throttle and move the stick all over the place and nothing! Not even a pixel on the wheels moved! Is this a bug? I did the exact actions I did in the mission in the startup tutorial and I had NO problems! Anything other than that training mission that involves taking off, I can't move. My loadout was underweight, too. Yes, parking brake was off. Everything checked out. I just had to sit there and take 50 bajillion missiles from spawn camping enemy F16 bots.

There needs to be training missions for unguided weapons and firing from the pilot's seat. Unless firing from the pilot's seat and controlling the heli from the gunner's seat isn't yet implemented. (Yes, I watched the tutorial videos and found myself at a loss in a non-functional hind)

Also, all this talk about petrovich or whatever.. where is he? Is it the auto pilot that always crashed the damn thing upon switching to the gunner's seat? The dummy who managed to slice the front of the heli with its own rotor blades? The zombie in the gunner's seat who can't even fire the gun, much less anything else? I can't give him orders like I can with Jeste- *pukes*. *ahem* Here, I thought Jester was awful! He at least can lock on to stuff... rarely... very rarely... maybe once or twice per mission... These two AI are A-bots. There isn't any intelligence going on with either of them. And yes, I burnt $80 on that damn F-14. Don't do that to the hind!!! I can live without the Bottom Gun Derpcat, but not the hind!

@AFuzzyObject

Seems like you turned on the arcarde mode. I had the same experince when i tried that. Arcarde mode with the Hind simply doesnt seem to work in early access yet

If you are asking for help, it's always wise to remember you have to supply a trk file. Otherwise it's impossible to see where the problem might be.

Keep in mind that the Hind has been test flown by many people for a while, so if there is some major unannounced show stopper  for you there is a good chance it is a simple configuration issue, or user error. Those things are easy to find from a trk file, almost impossible to guess without one.

I’m experiencing the same issue - controls are mapped and move in cockpit but no lift or movement of the aircraft.  My other DCS helos all work without issue but the hind won’t move at all.  Did the start up tutorial and same thing occurred when got to the taxing point - controls all move in cockpit but doesn’t translate to lift or movement.

I have the X55 Hotas and retested with the other three DCS helos all of them work correctly.  I also tested going to a

instant action with the Hind and exactly the same thing (controls work in cockpit but doesn’t translate to aircraft movement) just drops and crashes or if on runway it won’t life off or move

ideas??

Awesome - thanks all deselecting the game flight and game avionics sorted it all! Appreciate the help, now off to create havoc with the Hind 🙂
