Cougar
I would join if yahoo mail was allowed. Plus, whenever I join 169th servers, I show as laggy. It's weird, it seldom happens on other servers. And almost never when I serve. Don't worry bro you can talk to the guys in the ladder and host your match as there's nothing that say it must be hosted on 169th Server. When you challenge someone, either of the guy host and play the match so dont be afraid ;) Btw what's your connection, Cable? Cheers

Dmut
TM Cougar is the first thing which came to my mind, when I thought about prize <300$ for air-sim comunity. "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." Skarp
why do you have External Views on ice in your competition :?:
Ice
As it is is Guns Only and the most popular settings are Externals and padlock on.. Yes however please read the rules. For example ROE No.7 : If both players agree to some changes to default rules like short range IR missiles then that is ok. However if an agreement cannot be made the match must be played with settings and rules as stated here.
golfsierra2
Gunzo ladder Sure interesting for somebody coming from "Secret Weapons over Normandy", "IL 2", "Pacific Fighters", "European Air War" and so on. C'm on, guys, LOMAC is capable of soooooo many other challenging things. You are riding it like a tri-wheeler when you limit yourself playing it only guns vs guns. You can play real tactics, BVR, HVAA attack / defense, COMAOs, CSAR, QRA, ESCORT, SWEEP and and and. A F-15 is not just a super-duper P-50 and a Mig29 is no Me109 ! Why just making another boring ego shooter from LOMAC ? Is that what you want ? In fact, nowadays if it comes to gun attacks, somebody made a real bad mistake. If you can see your enemy, he's much too close ! Air War is done BVR, and the better tactic will save your life. Try good old "Star Wars" shooter instead. And credit the hard working devs with playing LOMAC as it is ought to be - best modeled combat flight sim ever ! kind regards, Raven.... Ice
Raven.. All ladder matches have to start somewhere. Experience has already proven that guns only is the most popular. When this is established we can move onto to other formats including teams. Please do not automatically flame something just for the hell of it. Thankyou. golfsierra2
Don't you think that enabling external views makes it too easy ? It's like cheating to me. Padlock is OK, you would move your head around in the cockpit all time time in reality, too. But in reality, you simply don't have external views, right ? I suggest to turn ext views off as well, makes at least guns vs guns in a visual arena as realistic as possible. BTW: No pilot would ever enter a fight all on his own without any mutual support by his wingman, so where ist the two-ship concept in this game ? Ice, don't you agree that this guns vs guns setup just ends up in one vs all, following just the rule "if it flies it dies" ? Really, I don't see any sense in a guns vs guns ladder. I agree that it is a vital part of self defense training, but making it the rule is like flushing all the other great gimmicks of LOMAC down the toilet. Sorry, I don't like guns vs guns ladders ! This is my personal opinion and I expect to see not much support here. I've seen many postings here and on other forums like "Where can I get new campaigns" or "I cannot handle mission XY, need help" etc. These postings are obviously from people (kids) who are to dumb or lazy to create own missions and who have a understanding of LOMAC like it is a leveled game ("Need help or a cheat for level xy..."). I assume that some of the guns vs guns ladder pilots joint hyperlobby with other flight sims before and are used to anonymous fights one gainst all others. This is what I mean with shooter behavior. No real tactics (which would require close coordination at least with a wingman), poor or no radar work and poor understanding of the technical features modeled in LOMAC. As I posted before, if it ends up like shooting down everything else what flies with guns, LOMAC would be treated like any ordinary ego shooter. So why then have the devs invested so many working hours in modeling the radars, the missile weapon systems, the flight physics, weather etc. ? What for, if it is not used ? If I was a developer and would see that LOMAC ends up in a guns vs guns shooter simulation, I would be very frustrated ! Don't you think so, Ice ? It's just not enough to value LOMAC. kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
