Majesco Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 wow, the new Su-27 model looks really cool, i hope to fly it asap thx chinese guys ! ^^
OldCrow Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Alright! Looking good! Do you have any info on how far the model is at this stage? Looks like its almost finished unwraped [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
SkieRider Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Model is almost finished, but still have some work with skin/templant to do......
Mustang Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) Nice guys nice! I'm sure this is the answer to the prayers of many 27 drivers around here :) Aside from looking pretty well complete in those shots, will there be any damage modelling? Edited October 24, 2008 by Mustang
Shaman Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Nice! You guys should consider joining forces with SIM-MOD TEAM! Make sure that all the animations are put in, LOD models, and full damage model, or else expect a lot of whining from me ;) 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
borchi_2b Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 i looked at the detail of the model, how many polyies did you use? @shamandgg: for simmod, the detail of the model is not enough, just remember the detail of the a-10, and the f-15 we are work on right now. when that would be a joined work, or they want to have the simmod as official supporter, the level of detail needs to be way higher http://www.polychop-sims.com
shaggy Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 WOW amazing! And d´that is not very nice to say borchi. Even if your models are more detailed it doesn't make them better. Sometimes FPS goes before beauty. Intel Core i7-8700 3,20GHz - EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 - 32Gb Ram - DCS on 500 GB SSD - Windows 10 - Thrusmaster Warthog - Thrustmaster TPR pedals - Track Ir 5 - Samsung Odyssey+ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.virtualredarrows.com
borchi_2b Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 well, it is just one thing i noticed with the model, i have nothing against it, it is cool, that somebody has the time to try his best on that bird. we as simmod team work on several birds at the same time, but, as everybidy could see, our forum is still down, so we are a bit on a traffic jam of work. to the detail, this is just the fact, and well fps, that has to do with diffrent things then most think. you should not go over 100k poly total, thats right, but the fps hit comes from a diffrent source of a model, but that not the point here. it is just a statement for us as simmod team, that the level of detail would not be enough, that all that there is to say, with all respect to thier su27 model and work http://www.polychop-sims.com
Azrayen Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Hey, very nice job ! Keep it up ! :) My only doubt is about the canopy, it seems a bit little to me, compared to the EOS, the plane's nose, the fins size... Anyways, it looks good, and I certainly will stay tuned for further news ! :) Cheers Az'
shaggy Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Copy that Borchi i haer ya ;) Intel Core i7-8700 3,20GHz - EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 - 32Gb Ram - DCS on 500 GB SSD - Windows 10 - Thrusmaster Warthog - Thrustmaster TPR pedals - Track Ir 5 - Samsung Odyssey+ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.virtualredarrows.com
Vekkinho Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Thanks guys, it was about time to take care of the Su-27! I mean, most players in on-line engagements fly Su-27 and that particular 3d model lacked details compared to other flyable planes! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PythonOne Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Does it have damage model? Because any new models coming out, it has to have damage model otherwise it would be very incomplete.
Lotham Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Wow :) That awsome  Lothamroth - www.Lockon.Fr - Vimeo Channel - Youtube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VireVolte_tigrou Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 [jooooooooke] That looks seriously nice ... oh why didn't you make Gripen model?! [/jooooooooke]
3GOCHN-443 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 There will be damage model for sure.We are still work on it,please be patient. :) :) 1
shemi Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 SkieRider i dream from years for Su-27 like this model!!:) Keep the good job guys! [LEFT][SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] [/LEFT] [LEFT][COLOR=RoyalBlue][SIZE=3][B]=2ИАЕ=[/B][/SIZE][/COLOR] [/LEFT]
Majesco Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 i find a problem: the new Su-27 model has a small yellow line at the radome (nose in black) what is it ?
Cougar12dk Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Is it at all possible to make this available for LOMAC 1.12? I don't have FC and will not buy it.
Majesco Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 you mean v1.02 ? if it's a .lom file, not difficult to mod for LOMAC 1.02 i think so
Kuky Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 may I ask for some close up screenshots to show just how much detail this model has? Since you're doing it from scratch why not add bit more detail? PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
SuperKungFu Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 The problem is, he already skinned it, meaning he already unwrapped it. So I don't think he's going to go back and add more details. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Very, very good! I like glass parts of the bird like canopy and IRST "eye". Seems very reallistic! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
