sirrah Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 I've been trying to find an answer on this, but so far without luck. In case my title question wasn't clear enough: Is it possible to look at a target area with JHMCS and then create a mark point with a HOTAS command? (Or, in case mark point creation is not possible this way, how do I slave my tpod to where I'm looking with JHMCS?) Swift. Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 If you assign the TDC to the HUD/HMD with no previous designation, then you will see a dashed circle appear in the HMD. Place this circle over the target and depress TDC to designate that point. Once a designation has been made, everything will automatically slave to that point, so the TPOD will be looking there and when you press the MK button on the HSI it will create a markpoint on the newly created designation. 4 1 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2

Yes, but not in a single step. First switch to A/G master mode and set TDC priority to your HMD, then view at the desired location and designate the point by TDC depress (this will be your further markpoint). At this point you can fine adjust the location with TDC slew. Finally you convert your assigned target into a mark point by pressing PB 9 on the HSI format display. Jascha Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Hi. I tried designating locations with HMD and despite looking at the ground when using TDC depress often my marked point seems to be floating in the air. Moreover, sometimes location of the point designated with HMD changes (without touching TDC). Does someone have similar experience?
Tholozor Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 If you performed a cold start, ensure you've completed the HMD alignment procedure. Jascha Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 No. This happens when I create fast training missions where I start already in the air.

That behaviour is maybe related to an already reported (and AFAIK already fixed) bug: Provide a trackfile which shows your issue, please.
