F-14 getting wing damage when two spawn together on Elevator 4

Hi there,

Apologies if this is a thread that's come up beforehand.

For some reason, when Tomcats spawn next to each other on Elevator 4, in spite of the fact there is no physical contact, at least one of the F-14 Tomcats will get wing damage. Sometimes superficial, other times substantive.

Is this a known problem, or are we the only to have experienced this?
Cheers,

Peter

Is this with a human in the RIO seat? I've had it a couple of times when I spawn into the rear seat and the wing position isn't properly synced. The pilot sees the wings swept, I see them out, and stuff starts to explode.

I think it's irrespective

Without video or track I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but there has been a long-standing issue (at least as long as the Supercarrier has been available) where Tomcats rapidly unsweep then sweep their wings on spawn. You can see it happen with late-activated uncontrolled AI: They will be parked, wings swept, then when their start is triggered the wings will pop out then pop back in.

Bump.  This is still an issue. BTW this happens on any part of the ship where aircraft spawn.

I could be wrong, but part of the problem may be the scale difference between the two aircraft.  The F-14 seems to be in a different scale (larger).

Can confirm the same. Also I’m not sure if it’s my imagination but sometimes on spawn the F-14 seems to spawn a few feet in the air and drop into position. I’ve had burst tires from this before.

I just found a similar, if not the same, issue.

This happens consistently on a AI-only set of flights launching from the Stennis, with different startup times.

There is a F-14 that tries to launch on CAT 1, but then, another one on the elevator nulltries to do the same and they get stuck.

It seems there is a big problem with the logic behind who gets which cat and from where. Bear in mind there is no single client flight here, just AI.

I uploaded two screenshots and a track file.

This was referenced on the official Discord: https://discord.com/channels/542985647502393346/1110967206046597141

Edit:

I also checked changing launch times, so they don't match. And this still happens, but much more blatantly (check last picture). This is unacceptable.
