I have no doubt that the Strike Eagle will be the longest pre order in DCS.

I think you are right; 19m / 63ish Feet. But that is the same with the Tomcat(19m) so maybe they share the title as the longest pre order in DCS ?

Yeah, that was the first very clear statement concerning the release date in my opinion. Knowing that the beta testers will get it soon (?), probably means we're months away from release, rather than weeks.

Hi, I had a question on the RWR if anyone knows about it. In the videos on YT there isn't an indication about where an incoming missile is coming from, like in the hornet.

My guess is the the HSI wouldn't display it anyway.

Is it that the RWR is just not modelled yet, or is the F15 just a different beast when it comes to displaying missile warnings?

It should show in the TEWS, In which video? I need to see it.

Don't think i've seen anyone else mention it so i'll throw this into the mix. Seems the manual will definitely be made public ahead of the actual release.

I can wait for the aircraft but I can't wait for the manual.

Depends how thorough ED's internal testers were.

There are clues as SW development uses staging for lifecycle management.

It seems that FAT stage (factory acceptance test), performed in last few months by developers (Razbam) indicate their confidence that build can enter UAT stage (user acceptance test) or Closed Beta if you wish. SW builds which were thoroughly looped in regression testing during FAT stage can reduce duration of UAT from months to weeks. I find Closed beta more as a quality assurance that Razbam internal test procedures and test cases which tackle key F-15E EA milestones are well defined and work as projected.

Just mine 5 cents

Let's face it, we've no idea how long it will be with the Beta Testers. That they've given it to previewers to make videos on before giving it to the beta testers group makes me think they're pretty confident that they're not going to find anything significant. But who knows 🙂

Is this a complaint discussion, or a WIP discussion? Has anyone ever thought that RB sent this to the YT content creators for sales purposes? If they release it as is, the bug complaints would fly all over the place. Clearly, it's not ready! The adolescent complaining here is wild!

Clearly?

Please clarify. What is so clearly saying it's not ready? I see a lot that says it is ready, at least for EA

Also releasing to YT creators has been done many times before just before releases. Lastly, no one here is expecting a bug-free release for EA.

Your complaint has been added to all the other "adolescent" complaints, thank you.

I don't know, did you see the DCS home page? I just saw it and am not sure what it means but it says DOWNLOAD F-15E Strike Eagle. The link sadly does not work. Yet?

Impatient people should never preorder.

It may be convenient for the old budget

I'm impatient and I have no problem with pre-ordering.

My issue is with poor communication, and that seems to be the case with this module.

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

Cold start tutorial Mk 2 is up now as well

And home page says Download F-15e Strike Eagle but the link doesn't work.

That link takes me to the pre-order page

Yep, the point is that it is even there, preordering isn't a download. Spudknockers Startup and take-off tutorials are also up. I think this thing is close

So we really are going to have to endure weeks of subpar youtube videos building frustration and hype again watching other people play a module many have already pre-ordered and just want to play themselves?

100% agree.. and the frustrating thing is we know how wonderful a company can be because of OnReTech’s communications on the Sinai map has been over on their thread.

Well, some say there will be a lot of bugs for closed beta, some says there will be a lot too during EA, and some says it is okay to have bugs as long as they had it.

No judgement here. Just an observation. 🙂

Poor comm for sure, ORT has a good one (love the cover poll). And they have no date hype, nor they have taken our money, but gorram sure they will have mine on Day 1.

Watching the cold start video. Spud one is very detailed.  Good watch.

Apache went EA on 18/03/22 with manual being released week before.

True but Apache was an ED product not a 3rd Party Dev which is another layer of complications.
