Slippa Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I’m gonna have to buy Germany now whatever happens. Even if I’ll prolly only see it at night . I’d love it if we had a 40s era version though. A ‘40s setting’ would be something I s’pose. I know I’ll be flying this around the Channel and Normandy maps either way, be rude not to. Come on Ugra, do us a Germany-spread version like qcumber said, bring in the Low Countries . Looking gorgeous as ever Scoobs, cheers for the pics, keep buggering on . 3
Tonker Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) Tornado and Lanc = Germany a-go-go! @Scoobyon, those are just gorgeous Edited April 5 by Tonker 2 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:
Scoobyon Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Working on the engines now, rivets overlayed here will definitely save some time getting alignments correctly put in.The panel lines in the model had to be slightly refined to match the blueprints, but should now be accuratenull null 9 3 Minor Lancaster Fanboy
Slippa Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I want that as a skin one day, with all the overlay of all the bits, it looks great. Happy tapping . 1
BrianTheBrain Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Some cool snippets of AI testing from Loki And for those not on discord, a soft announcement: So we're going to first fully finish the external model and AI flying. That's a big milestone and there's not a lot left, that's why we're doing the damage visuals, borts, etc. It's close. Then we'll get back to the cockpit and human player stuff. 6 1 Project Lancaster. Helping a little on Caffeine T-38C. F-111C because why not. T-6 Texan because its awesome (if you have to ask then no not that one, I hate that one). A few secret projects in the works. Tengah Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Why not go one better than a Tonka for Germany... 15 or 16 Sqn Buccaneer. Darn sight more reliable; fly lower, faster (with war load), further, all the time trying to understand the mindest of the cockpit designer whilst figuring if what he was drinking is a valid excuse for the ergonomic nightmare. 4
Slippa Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Well that’s put a smile on my face . I can’t see any of the pics here but I love what I’m reading Brains, cheers for that. Erm, about that Dauntless … what about if we all chipped in a bit each and there were enough of us, like a go fund me jobbie. Would that work? Or build one and flog it to us? Glad you’re helping out with the Harvard Texan, we need more props . 2

Stay tuned (in other threads, not this one. sorry for hijacking this one) also wtf is with the pics ig Lanc pics are destined by the forum to not work properly. 2 Project Lancaster. freehand Posted April 14 Posted April 14 There is a VR experience made by the BBC including real voice recording a news reporter went out on a mission, he must of carried his balls around in a wheel barrow. 6
BrianTheBrain Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Yes! That experience was very fun. I think I had it on oculus? Project Lancaster. Helping a little on Caffeine T-38C. F-111C because why not. Slippa Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I can’t have VR on my potato but it sounds good. Think Dimbleby reported on a mission, yeah, I just looked it up. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0187bbk Will keep my eye out for developments Brains, nice one . If anyone can see the latest pics and wouldn’t mind reposting them, please do. There’s a limit on our image posting abilities on the forum, a PITA a lot of the time. We should have unlimited pics in this thread, make it a rule and plaster the pages . 2

Matthew007b Posted April 25 Posted April 25 reminds me of a girl I dated... she would tell me... "you can't see it.. but it looks amazing.." anyway I can't see that link maybe it's my computer but looking forward to this and I bet it's amazing 2
ggrewe Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Good news is that Berlin does do black outs if set to WWII time frame in ME. Except for the football stadiums? 15
Algorithm Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I have the physical flight manual for the Lanc from 1944, if that would help with development. It's got all the details of flight capability and the changes made later to the manual, the quirks and the dos and don'ts. I also have the general flight manual for RAF WW2 trainees but it doesn't have many pages... funnily enough. Let me know if you'd like me to send all the pages of the Lanc manual, it's got photos of the cockpit and labels for the controls, with glued on cutout corrections that were later added. I can only send it around May 16-17 as I'm rather busy 'till then. 3
ST0RM Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) The Edersee Dam is missing from the Germany map. During a trip to Fritzlar, I made drive to see it. You could see the repaired portion, in contrast to the rest of the old bits. Edited May 2 by ST0RM 2
