All I can do is hope for... after this news:

Greeks and UAE used to have these, and Sweden is about to gift to Ukraine while Thailand loves theirs.  Poles bought the UAE's.  Pakistanis and Saudis use a stretched version.

Unfortunately the 3D models aren't showing up for me. It doesn't even want to load completely into ModelViewer.

I took a quick wag at improving the performance numbers of both aircraft.

They're a lot more realistic now (they were basically copy/paste from the E-2C before) and so, consequently, they don't try to level off at 14.5k feet for landing, and don't spiral down (as much) to actually get to the runway for landing.

Maybe I'll take a look at the lights later.

Hwere are those 2 missing textures, just the textures, you will have to create the livery yourself. I had a whole heap of stuff in my archive once but not much left now, I dont use this aircraft much myself these days and had ditched a load of stuff ages ago, its a very old model and not great quality.

Seems the Saab 340 cannot be used with MOOSE RAT since the object returns nil for either (aircraft) bounding box length or width.

I cannot figure out why. All three spatial dimensions are in the .lua definition, so my only thought is somehow the .edm shape file doesn't contain information DCS 2.9.5 expects (although ModelViewer finds the bounding box dimensions appropriately).

If anyone with more insight into the 3D modeling has encountered this before, I'm interested in a fix.

Can units like the RQ-4 have their F10 BFT detection range be increased to give them believable capabilities? From what I can tell the RQ-4 detects at the standard range of the DCS MQ-9 Reaper drone.

Hi, prccowboy.

Both E-7a and P-8's nose wheel rotating direction look inverted.

It's hard to find , only watched by very low taxing speed.

thanks for pointing that out. It appears that I reversed the front wheel animation on my early models (E-7 and P-8). Unfortunately, what should be an easy 10 minute fix is not.

a) It has been so long since I have modded that I've forgot basic Blender key commands - so I need to relearn it all.

b) the models have a version conflict with current Blender/exporter software so other animations are now broken - meaning I will need to update the models or downgrade the software

c) currently, I don't have the time (real life schedule) or motivation (a few negative incidents have burned me out on the community) to mod anymore

I will add it to my list of to-do's (including adding engine thrust reversers), but I can't guarantee when/if it will ever happen.

Sorry to hear that, your RC-135 is a permanent fixture in ALL missions I work on. It is sublime. 
Should you permanently retire from modding, I wish you well in your future endeavours, and thank you immensely for that which you have provided for us mere mortals. 🫡 :thumbup:

glad you like the RC-135, but that's not mine. Thats a @Backy 51@Eight Ball creation 🙂

I played with the P-8 a little and already fixed the front wheel animation; I'll release an update whenever I get around to adding the thrust reversers

@western_JPN I posted an update for the P-8 Poseidon (version 1.2.0922); it should fix the front wheel, add engine reverse thruster code and animations, and change the callsign options to something more specific to the Poseidon.

Please let me know if anything got broken in the update. I think I managed to update the model and all the animations successfully, but I did have some hair pulling (for some reason DCS won't unpack any new zip files I create) and I may have created other problems because I was spamming every key in Blender until I got the menu I wanted (because I have forgotten all the key commands) - so who knows what new problems I may have created.

Hey there prccowboy, I have been away from the forums for a long time.  Wanted to reinstall your Skytruck model but had a tough time finding your post.  I never thought to look in the Utility/Program Mod section.  Your topic needs to be moved to the Static/AI Mods section. Much better visibility and certainty a better fit for your excellent models.  Love your work.  You should consider getting the forum folks to move your topic to the Static/AI Mods section.

Thanks @RustyGunner I did ask a few moderators to move it when they redid the forum categories... eventually just gave up since I wasn't really modding anymore anyway.
