need track replay Refuling basket not active

I get comfirmed pre-contact, but 9/10 times the basket isn't active, it's rather furstraing being a refuling noob, working hard, and then the basket just dosn't work.

 

The lines with the basket are allready hanging out long before I ask for pre contact, they just hang there.

If you are not in the correct position you will be asked to return pre contact and start again

we really need to see a track replay to confirm, but it seems to be working as intended currently

But why are the probe out long before I ask for pre contact. In all the vidoes I see, the probe is extended when you ask for pre contect, for me, the probe is out long before I ask for pre contact, (both of them, so I can't tell if one, or both or none are active)

Nope

I now did the air to air refuling mission that comes with the F18, and it work perfecly, in pre contact the porbe extends and it's super easy to get contact, I filled up the entire tank, I got diconected twice, and no problem conecting again(well some problem, it isn't easy) But  the mission I made, I tried to have millimter accuracy, and matching speed down to a quarter knot and no connection.
In the ED mission, I could just aim and have a couple of extra knots, throtteling down, as I connect. 
 

No wonder I was so furstrated. 
I'm no starting to think this was the probem when I tired the F16 too, it would not connect at all, even tho I fought I was accurate enough(compared to the vidoes I saw on youtube.)

From you description it apears you're playing single player (it's old nown bug, that in SP baskets are deployed all the time, also if you're a host for multiplayer - for host they will hang all the time, other players see correct animation). But back to topic - I guess you're tring to AAR from any basket, but it doesn't work that way. ALWAYS first active basket is the left one. If you're in SP and alone, you need to always go to left basket.

If you try the right one, animation of the basket is there, but it's not active.

I do try the left one first, but since the basket is allready depolyed I have no way of know if it's actually deployed, I saw when playing the ED mission, that the basket dosn't deploy unless your're very close, so I've probably asked for pre-contact from too far away, and it's impossible to know if it's active or not, I guess I just have to fly more or less on its ass, before asking for pre contact. 

Is there any singal from the F16 refueler that will tell you if its active or not?

It is possible - if you're in good position the tanker will respond with "Ready precontact", if not it will be "Return precontact" - any plane, any tanker.
