I have 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSDs in a couple sim rigs with 11th gen I7s CPUs.   One of the rigs has started loading missions very slowly in both single-player and multi-player compared to performance just a couple months ago.   The slow sim is taking twice as much time as the other sim with identical hardware, so something is off with it.   Any suggestions on what I can start investigating?   Maybe some file folders i can delete or something?  Thanks in advance.

do you mean DCS has started to slow down loading whereas another sim has not?

No I have two separate sim rigs, exactly identical hardware and DCS installations.  One loads faster than the other.   Syria missions take 4-5 minutes on one sim, and 2 minutes on the other

Page file sizes, disk space left, installed mods and modules, saved games content, DCS settings... these I would check first.

@HawkEXO Also ensure:

  • DCS.exe 'Run as administrator' option is OFF.
  • The game main folder is added as an exception in your antivirus software.
  • Your graphcis driver is up-to-date.

And just in case, delete all "DCS..." folders found in "C:\Users\***v\AppData\Local\Temp\".
