Ahogephilia Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 1) open Description.lua 2) add custom_args = {[1616] = 1.0} Is right? Does it work in MP?
Egri_komrade Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I added the line at the end of a livery i tested, it worked. Not sure about MP
SkateZilla Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 as long as 1616 is in the net Sync Block it should. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
RaisedByWolves Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Does this need to be added after every update?
sLYFa Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 if you change the stock skins in the core game folder yes i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD

titi69 Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Yes i did it multiple times in arming panel, this what i mean when the door is not visible in ME but i can still see it when flying
Wingmate Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 You need to load the skin through the arming panel after loading into the mission, not through the mission editor. 1
SkateZilla Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 H.B. Should just make it a checkbox in the panel. 4 Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
RustBelt Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 They’ve already said they plan to but that it’s more and different work by a different person who was doing other stuff this patch cycle.
Ahogephilia Posted July 25, 2022 Author Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) 1. go to F-14s "Liverie" Folder 2. open "description.lua" (notepad ok) 3. add lines custom_args = { [1616] = 1.0 } 4. in game 5. call ground crew - rearms, refuel 6. select edited Liverie ( not from mission editor ) Thx guys. bond672 Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Just out of interest, is the damage modelled that can happen if the door comes off and gets injested? Or is this a purely aesthetic element? Simon.

Dragon1-1 Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 The door coming off was only a concern with the Iron Maiden in first place. That's the boom to drogue adapter that, unlike a regular cloth basket, is metal, and affixed to a rigid boom and not a flexible hose. We currently don't have any tanker equipped with that piece of kit. That thing can be nasty, and it was quite easy to rip the probe clean off when trying to top off from it. With cloth baskets, it was possible to take the basket off, but damage to the probe was more rare (though still possible, if the hose whipped around).
bond672 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Ahhh ok, could you imagine if they made it so the probe could be ripped off? That would be interesting for sure!
Dragon1-1 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Would need actual hose physics to have even a slight chance of occurring. To make it a real concern, you'd need a USAF tanker with Iron Maiden modeled, and both physics and logic for using it.

It was common during the Gulf War, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, possibly was done during Allied Force, and during OIF/OEF, whether we have the 135's Iron Maiden currently or not. So it very much applies to "the rest". 1 Heatblur Rivet Counting Squad™ VF-11 and VF-31 1988 [WIP] VF-201 & VF-202 [WIP]

I don’t think the Iranian F-14’s had a different fuel probe at all, especially since it’s all standardized. Fuel probe door being removed was always an option. 1 Discord: @dsplayer Setup: R7 7800X3D, 64GB 6000Mhz, Saitek/Logitech X56 HOTAS, TrackIR + TrackClipPro Resources I've Made: F-4E RWR PRF Sound Player | DCS DTC Web Editor Mods I've Made: F-14 Factory Clean Cockpit Mod | Modern F-14 Weapons Mod | Iranian F-14 Weapons Pack | F-14B Nozzle Percentage Mod + Label Fix | AIM-23 Hawk Mod for F-14

What's your source for this? iirc the cats that were sent to Iran were supported en-route by the 135 so requirements would dictate that they must be the same, also at the time Iran wanted lots of western equipment so again it makes sense that it would be standard fit. if they changed it as part of their modernisation/maintenance process (S), I doubt we'll ever have access to that information. be good to see if you have gen the community doesn't though :)
