Hearing the C-130 engines, there are no propeller sounds and the engines sound straight up like a turbofan instead of turboprop.

Nope, I dont get any sound really. Ill get a video capture of it later today, but its a barely audible turbofan sound.

Also, no sound mods.

Update:

our testers checked the Branch version, and said that evrth's fine there. It sounds like in my video. So most likely the problem is in your version of DCS. Can you make a repair please? (you can find the Repair DCS shortcut in your DCS folder in programs.

Best regards,

Did a repair, did an update, and still sounds like a turbojet. No change.

You could attach your dcs.log file to gather more info about your issue.

Yeah theres a lot of errors in this log for some reason, but dont really see anything regarding C-130 sounds.

Yes, but on the log there are a lot of other Mods which may have their own sound definitions conflicting with the ones of DCS. If you are using a Mod Manager, re-test with the Mods disabled. If you don't use a Manager, then rename the folder /Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Mods to Mods.bak

Examples of Mods that maybe conflicting are: Massun92 Asset Pack; FV107_Scimitar_BFVG; Fuchs_Wasp; Hummer, Insurgent SF 4x4, Wolf, F-22A, Goodyear Airship ... etc.  My guess is that the culprit maybe the Hercules v6.8.2 Mod that you are using.

Looks like you're right; I thought I had uninstalled that aircraft since I never use it and I didnt see it in my mods folder until you said something. Never even used the mod!
