Cyb0rg Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Being there. Nice mission. Altrough i crash several times.. probably my PC. And you guys should fix the spawn (blue side). Still, IMO the best server (until now) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asteroids ____________________________________________ Update this :D
Fudd Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Wish I could test the mission - blue always explodes on spawning or spawns with broken gear inside FARP. :( Its a known issue. I think its a bug inside DCS, becaue when I have them spawn in single player it works fine. i'm trying to resolve the issue right now. The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
Nomad Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Played there today, very good mission. Some problems were - the already mentioned spawn problem and it was also impossible to re-arm at blue farps. Refuel and repair worked, but re-arming and connecting to ground power didn't. Apart from that it was a lot of fun 8) [brag]European dogfight champion 2006[/brag]
Rhino4 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just outa curiosity: How'd you give the turk's ka-50s a chaff load?

I've seen this happen with several FARPs in online-missions. My initial guess was, that it had to do with uneven ground. Placing units on angled surfaces leads to some odd effects in the MissionBuilder and I'm not sure that only applies to optical effects Just like soldiers sticking out of the surface, standing vertical to the ground, even if that means they're standing 45°+ relative to the horizon. And their firing arcs are relative to the displayed position, too! Same is for other units. Maybe an extended "angle too steep"-limiter would be helpful? Fudd Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) No, thats not the problem. I had someone in my squad place the FARP's in the same position on a new map and no problems... I may have to rebuild the entire mission from scratch. I had what I believe were some artifacts show up during the build that had to do with some triggers. If I rebuild from scratch its possible that I can get rid of the problem. EDIT: Rather than rebuild the mission, all blue Ka-50's spawn above their FARP's. They are low on fuel and without weapons, so you must land before getting under way. Also, when spawning in, pull collective so that you dont crash. S! Nomad Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) I can't seem to be able to re-arm on farps at all, only refuel and repair. Others have this problem too. Edit: nevermind, that was a bad farp, someone must have crashed into the ammo depot, was a lot of debris lying around. Edited January 7, 2009 by Nomad [brag]European dogfight champion 2006[/brag]
Fudd Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Just outa curiosity: How'd you give the turk's ka-50s a chaff load? You can do it in the ME (on the same page where you edit loadouts). After review of the manual, i did learn that it isn't possible to carry chaff, so while you can alot it in the ME, it just ends up shorting bluefor of flares. ...I'll fix it on the next revision. The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
Feuerfalke Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Cool. Thanks for your hard work and thanks for the server! I also noticed that it is not possible to rearm at either FARP. :( But the setting is really nice. Feuerfalke Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Lovely mission with tons of hidden manpads. Now I just wish the players would care for even teams. Mustang Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Good server 159th, well done  A query though, are there any plans in the near future to disable map/icons and external views? i believe this will help alleviate the "camping" problem to a degree, and will also boost the realism factor even more :) 1

Feuerfalke Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 More Heavily-Defended FARP's, perhaps? Hm, didn't test the mission from the red side, yet, but considering the mission design, I doubt it's made unfair in such a manner. Anyway, thanks for providing us with such a sophisticated server and missions! MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD

Anyway, thanks for providing us with such a sophisticated server and missions! If that happens again, just spawn in at FARP B or C. FARP C is defended by a Patriot and FARP B by several Roland ADS's and about 20+ hidden manpads. The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
