Lspect Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 As it says on the title, when I land I do the usual routine of mil power for 4 seconds, idle, wait for the jet to roll back and raise the hook. But the wire just won't let go of the plane. I do not touch the wheel brakes at any point and also I turn the anti-skid off before landing so there is nothing wrong with the method as far as I know. I always do the same method but it's always a hit and miss every landing sometimes the wire will release me and sometimes it just won't even if my method is perfect. After going mil power wire pulls back slightly but aircraft does not fully roll back and only the nose rises slightly ( yes anti-skid is still off when this happens). Also tried folding the wings and using NWS but wire just pulls me off into the sea. This has been happening way too regularly recently and it is starting to get annoying since I need to restart (or respawn if I am in a multiplayer server) at each landing. Any help would be appreciated.
Spock14 Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Without a trrackfile it is really hard to help you. Maybe your breaks are not set up correctly or maybe your throttle isn´t full in idle.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 26, 2022 ED Team Posted September 26, 2022 Check your throttles, you will find they are not correctly at idle, you may need to calibrate your throttle in windows or set a curve thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? You can see your axis in game by pressing Rctrl+enter for the controls indicator Thank you so much for your help, I did not know the brakes were 50% on when you don't touch them so I always thought not touching them at all is the solution. Releasing the brakes fully resolved the issue. (Btw I am not sure if they are meant to be on 50% by default? I use Thrustmeter T16000m and twisting the stick to left and right applies brakes, so when it is not twisted it just stays at 50%)
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 26, 2022 ED Team Posted September 26, 2022 no problem. I dont think using the twist is a good idea, brakes should be a full axis if possible Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
