TZeer Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 @skypickle Do you actually have a target locked up there? Or is it only the LOS line that is pointing in that direction? If George don't have a target he will be looking straight ahead. And I think (from memory) if you pop over a hill, or the nose of the helicopter points in upward direction, the LOS will move out, until it hits a surface. You can see this behavior close up as well if you start tossing the apache around without a target locked. The LOS line will move over the terrain relative to where the copper is pointing it's nose.

It's not until you do CPG work yourself that you realize just how amazing George is compared lol

In the screenshot you are seeing a white line for the LOS of the TADS. This would indicate that George has found an actual target, and is lasing in that direction, though you obviously won't have a good return at that range. When he doesn't find a target, he continues to look in that direction and the TADS can appear to drift all over as you maneuver the aircraft, but he doesn't lase in that situation.

If that's the case are there plans to make him less effective at finding targets and locking them so quickly? Might be good to time a human CPG vs George and tweak it so its more of a match. Just an idea
