skywalker22 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 (edited) If you switch HUD Velocity Switch to aft (GND SPD), it is not showing it on the HUD, it's always zero up to 58 knots. Over 58 is works. This was working fine just before v2.8. f16_gnd_spd_issue.trk To add: JHMCS shows correct speeds from 58 knots and up, but just as it drops to 57 and lower, it only shows 48knots. But I guess this is as intended, at least this was said by ED team few months ago. PS: G/S works fine on DED, INS alignment page. It works from zero up. Edited October 29, 2022 by skywalker22 1
ED Team Raptor9 Posted October 29, 2022 ED Team Posted October 29, 2022 Did you have the gear down or were you in DGFT mode when you checked it? When either of these conditions are true, the speed switch on the HUD control panel is overridden and defaults to CAS. skywalker22 Posted October 29, 2022 Author Posted October 29, 2022 I was taxing, so gears were down. How else could I speed of such low speeds?

I'm away from my DCS computer and couldn't watch the track, but I was trying to help by outlining the likely causes. So this is a "correct-as-is" situation. 1 Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
Falconeer Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Iirc speed on HUD always shows 0 below 60 kts. If you need to know ground speed, press List, than 6 for INS and you have the speed on your DED. 1 Planes: Choppers: Maps: Flaming Cliffs 3 Black Shark 2 Syria A-10C Tank killer 2 Black Shark 3 Persian Gulf F/A18C Hornet AH-64 Apache Mariana's F-16C Viper Afghanistan F-15E Strike Eagle Kola Peninsula Mirage 2000C AJS-37 Viggen JF-17 Thunder F-14 Tomcat F-4E Phantom
SickSidewinder9 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 (edited) Damn, really enjoyed having ground speed on the hud for taxiing. Even bound the switch. I get that there's an override logic for wheels down, and I understand why, but there isn't another logic check for weight-on-wheels? Edited October 29, 2022 by SickSidewinder9
