Are you setting your response curves in trackIR or in DCS?

In DCS, I noticed my setting got ignored because I do have dead zone set in there.  But the dead zone was gone when AI UI is up, and restored when the UI is off.

Thats an interesting observation. It doesnt necessarily address the root cause, but FYI most people set up curves in the trackIR software itself (I use opentrack personally, but its the same idea)

Hmm, I guess I may start the setting over again...

You shouldn't do this. Leave anything TrackIR related inside DCS on default. When you set the curves inside the TrackIR software you have a consistent response through every module and cockpit. (And the Setup in TrackIR is more sophisticated.)

100 % agree.

I see absolutely no reason to configure the TrackIR curves in DCS instead using the native TrackIR software.

If you wish you can use my profile, which was originally from @Spudknocker: DCS World.zip. It works perfectly for me since years. Simply extract the profile to

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles

and select it in your TrackIR software. You may have to restart the TrackIR software to find the new profile.
