Wow! What an amazing start to a campaign! I'm all in.

Just as a heads up. In the first chunk of the prologue people were floating in the air again.

Also the briefing pdf for mission 1 has a typo.  Paragraph 4, first line 'flt' instead of 'fly'.

Just reading the briefing I've already learnt something! Just rudders in split s for greater control! I reckon by the end of this the multi player servers are going to have a shed load of annoyed players being dominated by people who have flown this campaign! 😁

What exactly is the F10 radio menu ( "A" or "B" on spinn recovery) and how do you call it up on screen in game? normally F10 will bring up the map AFAIK

It's an option in the Comms menu

Is it possible to get the documents to study? I have purchased it, but I don't have the beta branch loaded, and wanted to get started on the bookwork portion.

Re Read the first Paragraph of the introduction...there is a double sentence

In game or in a doc? Which mission is it?

Sorry I can't share those outside of the official DCS module manager

Hi Reflected!  Noob here to the forum, but I've flown all of your campaigns (Big Fan).  My question is do we have to be in the beta to fly this new campaign?  I can't seem to download the campaign through DCS in game.  I recently cleaned up my install and went back to stable.  Is that an issue?  Excited to fly this new campaign.  Please keep 'em comin'

Yes, the update that contains S&A hasn't come out for stable yet.

Thanks for the clarification!  Looks like I've got some more downloading to do, lol.

Make sure spacebar is not assigned to anything nor is backspace

Thanks for the reports keep them coming!

Backspace is default bound to show/hide the control stick iirc. Might be wise to throw in a blurb about making sure you've debound it. Though seeing as your campaigns have that feature disabled, I didn't bother with it on either of my flights. Would that still cause an issue if it's not pressed?

backspace shouldn't be that much of a problem. Trouble is ED assigned Spacebar as an unchangeable default for such triggers, and also for fring guns...

Yeah, that's the first thing I unbind in literally every module I've ever bought.

Hi, I was running stable version up until today. You can use the updater to update to open Beta, if you don’t want to have another full version the game downloaded. There is a forum thread describing how to use Windows Command to do that

Alienware Aurora R10, Ryzen 5800X3D, RTX4080, 32GB RAM, Pimax Crystal, Winwing F18 throttle, VKB Gunfighter F14 Stick, VKB Modern Combat Grip, Logitech Rudder pedals, DOF Reality H3

(Mission 2) Bank Angle PSA: Don't use the standby attitude indicator to determine the bank angle! That has a parallax effect so it gives you the wrong reading unless you contort your head to be right in front of it.

Instead use the screen in the front, the dark notches at the bottom tell you the bank angle.

Really cool campaign so far 🙂

I mean, "standby" is in the name, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to use the VDI in general.

While we're on PSA's, here's one for the "HUD-cripples": 😉😛

No one said not to switch the HUD display mode to either takeoff or landing  to get a more fine-tuned pitch ladder for those mission 1 maneuvers; at least not after you arrived at Stuckey's Peak.

Not saying you should, of course. But who's gonna know?

The bog-standard comms menu with which you contact AWACS, ATC, order your flight around and so on. Some campaigns/missions give you an additional menu item, accessed by the F10 key on your keyboard when the menu is "active". You need to use this in order to interact with the missions.

You access this menu with the radio buttons that you have assigned.
